Another Crook Re-Elected

You might have missed this on the news because this crook was a democrat, and we know the media must cover for their own.  Rep. William Jefferson won the runoff election while at the same time being involved in a federal bribery investigation.  You might remember Jefferson stashed over $90,000 of cash in a freezer that was found by the FBI.  He is accused of taking bribes in from the Nigerian telecommunications market.

I just have to laugh when democrats still tell us Republicans are the "culture of corruption".  If this was a Republican the media would have been all over it, but of course democrats get a pass.

I have to laugh when people from New Orleans point their fingers at the country and tell us we don't care enough, but then prove they don't care at all by re-electing the Mayor whose inaction got more of their neighbors killed and a Representative clearly on the take. Well, apparently William Jefferson represents them well.

Notice how the press is downplaying this as well?  Oh, I can hear the denials now "He has not been convicted of anything!".  Which is technically true.  However, someone has already been convicted of giving a bribe, so we are left to believe (increduously) that while a bribe was given, none was taken.

Someone sending a text message to a Page gets international attention for weeks, the person forced to resign, and the democratic outrage machine was in full gear. Here we have a Represenitive caught receiving cash, and involved in an international bribery investigation, and the democratic outrage machine is silent. Oh I forgot, Jefferson is a democrat, they aren't held to the same standards in the media.
