cursorXP uninstall help

hi i have installed cursor xp a few weeks ago but i am having trouble using it in games so i want to uninstall it, but i can uninstall it fine but when i reboot my pc my cursor is frozen or will freeze after a few mins. please help.

Did you set the cursor to the windows default before you uninstall?
Install, set the cursor to Windows default and uninstall.
See if that helps.

did you try disabling CXP while playing games?

default is ctrl+shift+c (toggles on and off)

ok i tried setting it to windows default cursor then uninstalling it worked fine for a while but then it just froze when i went on to a game. and ctrl+shift+c wont work either it goes back to the normal mouse but wont move

Set cursor back to default status, then try running The Zapper, then reboot, then try the games.

then you have no Stardock products installed?

run a cleaner like CCleaner (it free)


If CursorXP isn't there, and you're having troubles - it's not CursorXP
could be updates to you OS or other programs.

I'm not at home, but I seem to recall there should still be a list of products showing when you run the zapper.

i ran CCleaner and cursorxp was in the list of programs on it, i tired uninstalling from there but when i turned my pc back on today the mouse froze after a few mins again.

methinks it's not CXP.
Start looking at virusor something else.
I'd also reccemmend that you install Process Monitor so you can see what's going on.

i have scanned for virus and spyware and found nothing, its strange the game works when i play it the 1st time by using ctrl shift c, but then when i go onto the game again the mouse dosent work

is CursorXP installed or not?

graphics card - what kind? are the drivers up to date?

yes its installed, i have an XFX GeForce FX5200 im not sure about the drivers

I used to have that video card and never encountered that issue.
