Border security? With Democrats at the helm?! Ha!

Congress set to give amnesty to millions

Note to the idiots that jumped off the GOP bandwagon because they felt the GOP had lost it's way and was not adequately protecting the interests of the "American people" -- the Democrats that got elected are worse.  Far worse.

Worse as in the Democrat controlled Congress that hasn't really even taken over the town (D.C., the nation's capitol) is apparently primed and ready to pass legislation that will give legal status to 10's of millions of previously illegal immigrants.

Open the flood gates and let the illegals in.  You folks think we have an immigrant problem now, wait until word of a real amnesty policy starts getting out there, and wait until word spreads that those already in country are going to have priority for getting legal status versus those outside the U.S.A. that apply through normal channels.  Oh man, things are going to get busy...

Don't just take my word for this stuff folks, try reading the news here: Congress open to passing bill on immigration

As promised, a few more words:

(from the original article linked above)

Congress will approve an immigration bill that will grant citizenship rights to most of the 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens in the U.S. after Democrats take control next month, predict both sides on Capitol Hill.
While Republicans have been largely splintered on the issue of immigration reform, Democrats have been fairly unified behind the principle that the illegals currently in the country should get citizenship rights without having to first leave the country.
"Years of dawdling have worsened our border security and made it harder to fix this broken system," said Sen. Patrick J. Leahy, the Vermont Democrat who will lead the Judiciary Committee next year. "We should not let partisan politics and intolerance continue to delay and derail effective reform."
Democrats in both chambers say they will start with some form of legislation first drafted by Sens. John McCain, Arizona Republican, and Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat, which was the basis for the bill that was approved earlier this year by the Senate.
"This past May, the Senate Judiciary Committee reported and then the Senate passed bipartisan versions of comprehensive immigration reform to bring people out of the shadows while strengthening our borders," Mr. Leahy said. "I look forward to building on that work next year and making progress on a bipartisan effort that improves security, supports our economy and respects the dignity of all people."
House Republicans and many outside Congress derided that bill as "amnesty" for allowing illegals to remain in the U.S. and eventually become citizens. Democrats say it's not amnesty because aliens must pay a fine and wait years before becoming citizens.

There's plenty more in the original article.  Please read it and try not to weep.

Unbelievable.

The only thing that stopped the bill from becoming law before was the House.  You are right, now that the pelosi mafia has taken control, there is nothing to stop them.  And the worst part of it, is that it will do nothing to address the problem.

I don't think the Dems would be any better, but I don't think they could be any worse, frankly. In the need to make a mirror of the EU, and under the Reagan dynasty, we began to treat Mexico as a valued partner instead of the politically and economically diseased enemy that it is. We don't trace this back to Dems, not by a long shot.

The illegals are only partially to blame. The bulk of condemnation should go to those that deserve it. The people to blame are those social engineers who decided that we needed to "foster" Mexico regardless of how flawed and corrupt their system is.
