custom opponents feature

I'm not sure I am reading this right. It sounds like you're saying you cannot customize your own race with a super ability... But you can.

I know what you mean, when you go to customize a race to use they don't give you access to the sliders in the personality screen. I can understand some of them being disabled, since things like aggression is not needed for your own race.I thought you should at least be able to choose a starting alignment for your custom race, but that slider is disabled too.

One of the problems with declaring yourself Evil is, even the evil ruler can think he's on the side of right. He doesn't think of himself as evil, he's sees himself doing what he's doing for the betterment of his people. Else he's just a psychopath.

People that are arrogant enough to see themselves as "very good" are the headcases of the world.

i think i get what your saying, something like this:

when 9/11 happened, the people who attacked it thought that they were doing the right thing, what is "good", but others think it's evil, but they think were evil.

in fact, mabye there is no such thing as good or evil, just what the person belives it is.

I have the same problem with role playing games, where you have to choose your alignment. Your alignment should be determined by your actions within the game, rather than artificially deciding "I am good" or "I am evil".

Well.. My original reason for wanting the option is all the built in races have there's prechosen. Why not mine?  

It can have a predtermined alignment. When you first make it it's Neutral, but if you set yourself to be another race, you can then edit your custom race as if it were a race you were designing to play against. You can then go back and load it up as you, complete with your personality changes.

ahh.. great workaround, I hadn't thought of that.
