i have a doubt with "Top Overall Visual Styles Team"

for the medal of Top Overall Visual Styles Team,UIRSS.com and eicostudio have the same score. but eicostudio won the silver medal, and UIRSS.com won Bronze. could you please give me an explanation? Is it based on the alphabetical order of the first letter of the team name?

In the event of a tie, it is up to the contest organizers to determine winners.

In the Visual Styles event, for UIRSS.com, JJ Ying was the sole WB artist to take any medals.

For eico studio, they placed with two individuals in the Most Usable category.

The result is the same score, but eico made it with more of a "team effort" so to speak.

The "Top Team" events are meant to reward the stronger teams as opposed to the stronger individuals.  UIRSS.com was the best overall team, taking top spots across all of the three skinning categories.  However, with the exception of JJ Ying, each member of the team excelled at just one category.

In Visual Styles, eico studio showed a bit more team strength.

The rules were as clear as we could reasonably make them.  Catch rules such as the one allowing us to determine winners in the case of a tie, were in place because we couldn't cover every possible situation.  Every time we run this competition, the rules list gets longer as we add more and more clauses based on what we learned from the previous competiton.

Expect the 2008 GUI Champs to have a MUCH longer list than even this year (which was nearly twice as long as the rules from 2004).
