Downloading GalCiv on a dial-up

I'm considering purchasing and downloading GalCiv.
(as opposed to buying it at a retail store).
My concern is this:I only have a dial-up connection and use Net-Zero as my ISP. It appears NetZero cuts me off after ~3 hours of connect time. Will that be enough time to download GalCiv? What are the size of the different modules?
Thanks in advance

The size is rather.. umm.. large to say the least (at least the multimedia add-on). I also have a dial-up account (a 4 hour connection), and although the sizes are daunting, the resuming feature of SDC was the life-saver. It takes me around a day to download the WHOLE package, sometimes a lil more depending on the connection speed to the SD server.

If you don't want to get a higher speed connection, be patient it IS definetly worth the wait. Otherwise do as Rasta suggests, and wait for CD to be mail to you. :)

Thanks for the response. No big deal, EB should have it
by 3/27 and I'll just drive over to the mall and buy it.

Thanks

The base game will take about 6 hours to download on a 33.6kbaud connection.

That's all that's needed to actually play the game, and it's perfectly possible to run the game while the multimedia is downloading (approx. 48 hours), presuming you computer can handle having GalCiv, the DGM/SDC client, and your commention software (if applicable) running simultaneously.

The DGM and SDC clients both support file resuming, if that becomes an issue.

Thanks. I think my wife would kill me for tieing up the phone for 48 hours (even in increments). I can wait a few more days to buy it at the store.
