| Supreme Commander has this nifty litte tool which allows you to see how long a unit will take to get from A to B, which is really usefull. Will sins have something similar? |
supreme commander has it built in so that no matter how many different objects you have heading for the exact same point from different directions....they will all reach the target at the same time for a massive on-time assault.
my only problem with your thoughts of control is sure...you can possibly set up those waypoints...but what is the point????? the game is going to be so massive that you wont really have the time to sit there and fiddle with exact settings like that. you will basicly set positions for your fleets to jump in..once they jump in..start the attack and then race off to check your other fleets on the other side of the galaxy and do the same. the focus on individual battles is going to be alot smaller and if people keep focusing on the one battles....they are going to lose in this game if they cant get into their heads that the game isnt like homeworld or games before it where you can focus on a battle here and there. the scale is going to be far to large to sit there and micro every tiny lil detail like alot of you like to do. ofcourse all i just said is totally wrong when you decide to play one of the smaller games....but when it comes to the full maxxed out game of sins...there just wont be the time to fool with all the tiny stuff. most of your stuff will be running in automatic most likely just to ease your load to focus on other things.
