View?

In HW:C there was a option to view your units as 1st person (cockpit view). It wasent anything "tactical" it was just something really cool to view. Will sins have something like that? I was fun watching your own units battle

Also will there be boarding of anykind in Sins? I had an idea that if a ship was boarded then it would be possible for the player to view the action that was going on in the ship (or in other words, see the action that is taking place inside a ship).

nope

  had that one months ago

what would be really cool is if you could control the siege, as in what parts to dissable first, do you go for the bridge first? try to sieze the ship fast? shut down teh engines so its tactically moot? etc.

although it would have to be done on a nexus size scale, otherwise its technologically infeasable

meh, wouldnt be too bad to see that incorperated

i know the second one's a stretch. I also agree with schimatic. It would be cool to acctually COMMAND the personnel

not to mention far below the scope of the game.

I dont know at least there should be like a cinematic mode where you get to view it as you would a movie.

The 1st person view options in Homeworld Cataclysm (while nauseating at times) were a spectacular addition to the game - especially since it was an optional feature existing purely for the user's entertainment.

As with any new game, I'm sure there will be more pressing issues to address than the aesthetics. However, additions like these would be neat, and I'd suggest you bring clever little ideas such as these to IronClad's dev team during closed beta.

This would be great for making trailers.

I think a neat feature would be for replays. For a replay file , watching it you can set it to "movie style" so the game will choose the best parts of the game with battles and conflicts , some subtle bits with fleet movements and building , and some apocalypic scenes of planet razing and blowing up stuff. Add to this some cool musical theme tune and also being able to export it as a Wmv file , could make this game uber cool.

I also had an idea that Sins could easily be a Space Opera Maker bit like the Movies online.

O that would be cool... Stardocks expansion pack for Gal Civ 2 will have something like this called an Epic Generator which will generate the story of your game. Ofcourse since this would be in real time it would be very interesting if they added movie features and text to support what was happening.

Actually we're probably going to end up cutting the Epic Generator from Dark Avatar.  It's proven to be a greater challenge than we first anticipated and there's not enough time left to get it working properly.

I figured it would happen, and after i saw the post on the society forum i was lead to believe it to be true. Otherwise why take the time to make the post.

Just wish it wasnt so
