November Screenshots

Most screenshots will be found on game sites. But we're keeping a few handy for new users to find here.

The 3D engine used by Sins is being continually enhanced. Over time, you will keep seeing the graphics get better and better as we get closer to release. The Ironclad team is really kicking butt on the shading technology used in the game as well as the dynamic tactical interfaces which we think will help set the standard of how to interact with units of different scales (you'll see what we mean as time goes on).

the first image with the yellow ship would look very nice when it get some reflexsion on it.

Has there been shipped some other images to other sites? then witch?

Stay tuned.

Actually, that first screenshot is special because the ships aren't really yellow. Their hulls change color based on the background, making them chameleons.

That first picture just got me off guard! I thought I've seen the end of it, but here we are.

wow, thats sheerly amazing

question posed: in the third picture, is that an explosion (which it looks like) or a rocket pod release?

the first person who talk crap about IG Sin's graphics, i will be morethan happy to be the first to pay them a visit!

sweet graphics guys, and to think that this is just a test of err.. appetizer until its final release.

man, now i know why they say that good things comes for those who waits, and this is one of them .

btw, could you guys lower the trail streak just a tad bit?

tmho, i'd rather see more ships flying around the battle scene rather than more trails of lines all across my screen.

if not, would it be possible to add options where you either can turn streak trails from small, med, to full scaled to none. i'd love that option on the graphics menu so that all who agree's or disagree's with me would have that ability to tune fighter trails to their likings.

just a thought, tnx guy's.

I agree on a limited level

you see, those trails are nescessary in battle to know whats going on
a choice of size would be nice though.

Trails are lovely to see when fighters in formation going in a straight line. Its when combat occurs and fighters start turning that the trials makes it look too much much like strands flying everywhere

That's an explosion. That ship just got tagged big time.

The streaks are only from the fighters - you really don't notice them unless you're zoomed in close, so they're not very distracting in actual gameplay.

Ahh, news! Yay.

The chameleon ships are a really neat idea. I don't think I've ever heard of something like that before.

I want to ask more about what the phrase "dynamic tactical interfaces" implies. One thing this could mean (from an interface standpoint) is that fleets/planets where you're actively engaging the enemy are made more prominent (bigger/bolder) in the empire tree. That would actually be really handy...

Anyways, I'm pretty sure the phrase means something completely different! I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The graphics look really good! The big yellow ship especially seems to have a very high-quality feel about it. Many thanks also for the exploding ship, I need to go update the thread about that now

Where did you see that phrase?  (I need to see it in context so I know what it's talking about.)

*shamelessly plunders earlier post of context*
