Hi everybody, The Rise of the Gerandor Republic Mod for GC2 Twilight of the Arnor is currently stopped for undefinate time, but not cancelled.

It is a Total conversion of the Game X3 Reunion, and is thought to let you play the X universe from another perspective, from a Leader of a race.

This Mod is what you really understand as a Total conversion, it completely replaces GalCiv 2 with X3, adding a lot of new features and story to the game.

After a long pause, we are very close to bring this mod out as a beta.

This will be a big Mod with lots of new ships, video material and the best, impressive Weapon effects you ever have seen in a Galciv2 Mod =o)

The whole X-Universe in GalCiv 2 !

I am a fan of X3, but it is so difficult to play for extended periods. And you seem to have to do that to really get anywhere. The graphics rock, your video card doesn't, and then you weep knowing you are only seeing textures at half thier resolutions.

It looks like a great mod. I can't wait to try out the full English version, as I clearly don't speak German.

;o) thanks, ok I try to reply all your answers:

1: I think we get a first version(without campaign) finish before christmas time, though we will continue improving it all the times ;o)

My video Card? XD It's a Geforce 6800 Ultra I don't think it's bad ;o)
I understand what you mean by half texture, this just effect on this screenshots =o)

I'm happy that you like this Mod, we will do our best,

@ Coplann, I share your opinion, with the Corvettes, maybe we will have some uptuned versions in our mod too later.

The Khaak wil be there too and maybe they will be very important again ;o)

The most important thing in the Campaign will be the Reunion with the Terrans thats what was missing at the end of X3 ;o)

I'm thinking of giving you a Weapon Mod which replace all the Beam Weapons in your standard Galciv2 to show you a bit of what Weapon effects will come to you...
maybe I will finish this in a week.

This is a Beta version of the Alpha Impuls Ray Emitter, it will be rescaled a bit, but the effect can be seen =o)
