The folks over at Blizzard have announced a delay in the much anticipated expansion to their 7 million plus MMORPG World of Warcraft. The Burning Crusade will now launch in Europe and the United States in January 2007 as opposed to the expected November 2006 release. The extra time will be used for additional beta-testing and general polish.
"We appreciate the enthusiasm surrounding World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, and we're excited about putting the finishing touches on all of the new content," said Mike Morhaime, president and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We feel confident that the extra time spent polishing the game will result in the high-quality experience that our players expect and deserve."
