Democrats and Media Allies are Preparing for their Defeat

http://www.abcnews.go.com/WNT/Technology/story?id=2596705&page=1

If democrats do not regain any power and actually lose some of their elections, what is the standard democratic talking point. The election was stolen!

Several stories are floating around the media of possible election fraud. This seems to be nothing but setting up the democrats for a loss, and blaming voting machines and republican conspiracies for their losses. Just as in the past.

A recent story on ABC talks about the Diebold voting machiens.

"Cheryl Kagan, a former Maryland Democratic legislator, was shocked when she opened her mail Wednesday morning. Inside, she discovered three computer discs. With them was an anonymous letter saying the discs contained the secret source code for vote-counting that could be used to alter the votes cast through Maryland's new electronic voting machines. "

My understanding is that with these disks a malicious person could skew the outcome of an election," Kagan said."

I bet one thing you won't hear in the MSM is how dead people are voting for democrats, and giving away crack for votes.

It is telling that they have already started the excuses. The democrats dont know how to run an honest election, so they naturally assume that their opponents are as dirty as they are. It is the classic case of projecting yourself onto your opponent.

Aren't you afraid that the new systems are INDEED open to fraud?

The Economist published an article talking about the flaws of the new voting machines. One of the problem of one of the chosed kind (not all of them) is that it destroys the original paper-vote, preventing any kind of manual recounting.

And you know, the GOP can also use this as an excuse if they loose. Sore looser symptom is common to both sides.

The big overall problem, USA's voting system is becoming less and less reliable by the years because of fraud, lobbying and others.

Every election is open to fraud. Whether it's electronic or traditional paper votes, fraud is a reality. There would be less fraud if ID was required for voting, but democrats don't want that because it will alienate their voting base, criminals and illegals.

That is the single most populist/dishonest categorization I have seen on this forum. That is quite a statement.

How do you back that the democrat's voting base are criminals and illegals?

And ID won't prevent fraud if it is the voting MACHINES who are open to tempering. Or if, like Florida 2000, machines misinterprete votes.

Just go back and look at the 2004 presidential elections.

Actually, since you, and island dog are making the claim - YOU back it up.

Every party is guilty of it at one point or another. Not once did i see a statement saying such. As far as I can see, Island Dog is being overtly biased. Shame on him.

Lucas, and others - how about the fact that the Democrats are the party that has lobbied the hardest and tried the hardest to pass laws that allow felons to vote, and also they're the party that has worked the hardest to get those felons pardoned and added back onto voting rolls?

You'd have to have your head buried firmly up the rear-end of the Democratic donkey to not recognize that the Democrats have done everything possible to line up voters from any where and every where they can, regardless of what type of citizens they are.

I'm not saying it didnt happen, just provide the meat of your argument. Like, links, etc... That's all i am saying. I apologize, I should have clarified myself.

Dude, just because I am liberal, DOES NOT mean that I am a democrat.

Like i said, every party is guilt of fraud,etc... I mean, it's politics.

ID won't prevent fraud entirely, but it will help. There is not one reason why ID should not be required to vote. Democrats are the ones who are fighting hardest to prevent this. Why is that?

Shame on me for what? I listed during the 2004 Presidential elections groups that supported the democratic party. Those groups includes communists, socialists, prostitutes, felons, and many more interesting people. And as terp said the democrats do whatever they can to get felons to vote, because criminals and poor people (ones who don't know any better) are their base. I'm not going to say republicans don't have questionable groups supporting them, but if you put them side by side, democrats will have the most radical and criminals behind them.

Then say so, don't lead the person with a carrot, stating that it's "just" Dems, cause that is one way I felt your piece came across. I didn't read a part that conceded that it also happens with other parties.

Some folks will think you are just "blaming," or scapegoating dems, and you might want to make it clear that, as you said, "I'm not going to say republicans don't have questionable groups supporting them."

Cause folks might figure differently. Just cover your ass, cause there are nit picky folks.

Just pointing that out, not trying to bash you.

Mea culpa on any misunderstandings?

so it's a sorta endless cycle in which democrats transform felons into voters while republicans transform candidates into felons?

So that is how the democrats get republicans to change parties.

Democrats Don't know how to run an honest election? May I remind you your party has had control for the last 6 years. If Democrats win its your partys fault.

GOP registers throw away Democratic Sign ups Nevada 2004

1 vote for Kerry equals 3999 Votes for Bush Ohio 2004.

Umm .. no.

For the record, I'm also not worried that floride in the water is a conspiracy.

Oh yeah, and I don't own a tin foil hat to keep out the mind rays. I like to live dangerously.

Be afraid ... be very afraid ..... ok, not really, I just think it's cool to say that.

Sorry, Island Dog. I seem to have gone off there for a moment.

Nice try. Now you want to site something that's provable? This is from the "very" same page "you" quoted:

This section does not cite its references or sources.
You can help Wikipedia by introducing appropriate citations.

In other words nothing on that particular page is verifiable. I can't talk about other states than my own (PA):

Pennsylvania

Mercer County

Lark charged that a number of voters may have been disenfranchised by the problems that shut down voting machines for all or most of the day. Some precincts didn't have enough paper ballots for people to fill out, and Lark said he suspects some people didn't bother coming back when a new supply of paper ballots arrived. He had no estimate on how many people may have missed a chance to vote, but he did have some questions Friday about the accuracy of the count coming out of the electronic machines that were working.

Lark cited statistics collected by a poll worker at the Farrell municipal building poll, which showed the voting machine recorded that 289 people cast ballots. The machine, however, recorded a total of 48 votes for U.S. Sen. John Kerry and three votes for George W. Bush in the presidential race. Lark said he finds it difficult to believe that only 51 people out of the 289 who voted actually cast a ballot in the presidential race.

This was PROVEN in court to be wrong! So that much of your quoted page is incorrect anyway!

How do we back? Quite simple really:

The Florida election has been closely scrutinized since the election, and several irregularities are thought to have favored Bush. These included the Palm Beach "butterfly ballot", which produced an unexpectedly large number of votes for third-party candidate Patrick Buchanan, and a purge of some 50,000 alleged felons from the Florida voting rolls

Or this one:

I predicted this a while back, but it's happening a lot sooner than I predicted. Apparently, Democrats are just peeing their pants to exploit their newest constituency in the state of Iowa. And they are beginning their quest for the felon vote today according to this Des Moines Register article from a couple days ago:

A voter registration drive, aimed largely at felons whose voting rights were restored this month by Gov. Tom Vilsack, will be held at two Des Moines locations on Saturday.

The event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at Union Baptist Church, McCormick Street and East University Avenue, and at Creative Visions, 1343 13th St.

"We want to get as many ex-offenders registered as possible" for the upcoming school board election on Sept. 13, said JoAnn Hughes, a spokeswoman for the African American Leadership Coalition political action committee, which is sponsoring the drive.

About this time you libs out there are probably thinking that I'm being a little dishonest. After all, it's not as if the Democratic Party of Iowa is marching through the streets dragging felons out of their humble abodes and registering them to vote. No they aren't. Their surrogates at Creative Visions and the African American Leadership Coalition are. For the Iowa Democrats to come out and do this themselves would be far too obvious at this point. It'll be at least '06 before you see the Democrats come out and register voters themselves. But I can guaran-damn-tee you that JoAnn Hughes and her cronies would rather be stabbed through the heart with a silver dagger than vote for a Republican. So whether it's the chairman of the Iowa Democratic Party personally registering voters or little ole' JoAnn Hughes, it's all the same.

Or even this one from USA Today:

Fla. scraps flawed felon voting list
MIAMI (AP) — Florida elections officials said Saturday they will not use a disputed list that was designed to keep felons from voting, acknowledging a flaw that could have allowed convicted Hispanic felons to cast ballots in November.
The glitch in a state that President Bush won by just 537 votes could have been significant — because of the state's sizable Cuban population, Hispanics in Florida have tended to vote Republican more than Hispanics nationally. The list had about 28,000 Democrats and around 9,500 Republicans, with most of the rest unaffiliated.

"Not including Hispanic felons that may be voters on the list ... was an oversight and a mistake," Gov. Jeb Bush said. "And we accept responsibility and that's why we're pulling it back."

The list just keeps going on and on. Would you like me to continue?
