GALACTIC CIV IS great!!!! to designers and players:

This Game is great fun to play and I can@t wait for the expansion.
I`d love to be able to 1. Play as a martian race from mars.
2. send a boarding party and take over enermy ships.
3. Put more guns on very big ships.
4. Build a fighter carrier.
5. have some more events that put you in the feel of the galaxy
that your in.
6. more bonuses for achievements. people play games for long periods of time and need rewards: such as more movies clips, inventions, celebrations, new items that kind of thing. rewards give a sence of achievement.
7. finally some real knowledge of space for education.

Mod the XML and it's doable.

3. Put more guns on very big ships.

Just shrink the guns in the XML or make a new hull size

. have some more events that put you in the feel of the galaxy
that your in.

Again, modding is the way.

2. send a boarding party and take over enermy ships.

4. Build a fighter carrier.

Never happening

more bonuses for achievements. people play games for long periods of time and need rewards: such as more movies clips, inventions, celebrations, new items that kind of thing. rewards give a sence of achievement.

I think these can be modded, but are harder than a standard XML mod.

Don't know what you mean by 7.

I've been thinking the exact same thing for a long time too. I also play Civ IV ALOT and love the way that being the first to complete an achievment gives you a small leg up.

(ie. First to circum-navigate the globe gets +1 to ship movement, first to get a certain tech gets a free unit, etc...)

This would help VASTLY improve galciv's rather bland tech tree. Research in GalCiv 2 is more of a chore and anoyance tbh and it has alot to do with how large and repetitive all the techs are. (The research tree is getting some love in the next expansion so I have my fingers crossed.)
