What do all the Smilies mean

from GalCiv2 Forums
Some of the smilies used on this site mystify me. I've seen some sites that give you a mouseover tooltip explaination of the smilie. I get the more basic ones but some are very unclear. For example, this one    looks like someone having difficulty in the bathroom.

And what's up with    and    ?

Is there a legend here somewhere that describes them?

As far as I can tell, once you use the smiley, your message will display what it is vs. an actual graphic, i.e.  comes up congrat,   this is lol,   this is surprised, etc. Like I said, it shows what they are once you use one, in your post before sending. Does that help?  ,means not sure

That was just me testing what Evil Stormbringer said. Well, he's right about some of them, but not, for example, the one I just used (looks like  X - ( ). Anyway, I reckon that one depicts frustration.

Yes, I see as you enter them in your post they show as X - ( then once you submit them they display as the graphic   . This makes some of these obvious but not all (NOTSURE is pretty obvious). wasn't even on Wiki. I found it somewhere on the web with a meaning of "user just died". Now if someone will just tell me what "user just died" means then I'll have a clue as to when I should use it (frankly I like my original interpertation of it better).

One thing for sure, the smilies r cool,   , even if this says hot

Well, if you right click on the smilie and go to properties, it should give a description in the name. User just died appears to be "SadAngry.gif", so I'd presume it means frustration, as that is what it is. The others seem to fit as well.
