Why Male/Female be circumcised? Was it because of regilion, culture and traditions - the reason why circumcision is practised? Are we not aware that this is mutilation in the most private spot or let's say "Genital Mutilation". It is cruel and barbaric. It is a human rights violation.
A week ago, I posted this question at my other group. Luckily it received interesting comments from both male and female respondents but mostly of comments came from women. I decided not to disclose their identity.
Here are what they had to say:
If you wanna lower their sexual experience then go ahead. Maybe we could use it to dimish the teen pregnancies since they'll get no pleasure from sex, then they won't have sex.
That does not happen in the united States and in the countries in which it takes place it can cause terrible damage to females. It is mutilation no matter what anyone says. It is destryoing that which God meant to be there.
There is a medical basis for male circumcision; it removes a flap of skin that is hard to keep clean, and can become infected. There is no medical foundation for female circumcision. It actually destroys organs, and causes irreparable damage.
There is no such thing as female circumcision. It's actually female mutilation and it's a disgusting practice. I believe that men were the ones that thought of it for two reasons: the woman can't feel sexual pleasure and when it's time for consumating marriage, the man can tell if she still a virgin because her vagina sewed close and we all know it's not pretty when he penetrate her.
Female circumcision is in no way, shape or form akin to male circumcision. It is a horrible tradition practiced in some cultures. Men who are circumcised , usually at birth, have the same sexual responses. Women's circumcision involves the removal of the clitoris and other sensitive parts that are vital to female sexual response; the female is castrated, not circumcised.
Most societies that castrate their young girls at puberty. No anesthesia, in poorer places with a sharpened glass or a razor blade. The girls genitalia are stitched together in such a way that sex will be painful and childbirth horrific.
It is a barbaric practice that renders women incapable of sexual response and a painful life. The women often view it as a rite of passage and an ancient tradition fulfilled.
By the way female circumcision do not always means the removal of the clit. Women are right not to hate female circumcision, but then they like the male circumcision. The removal of the frenulum is almost like the removal of the clit.
The “medical” reasons for circumcision are for Doctors to make MONEY!!!
Circumcision is “nothing” compared to other much more terrible things that people do for MONEY, when MONEY is involved EVERYRHING is possible, MONEY is the priority not moral values, not ethics, not health, not wrong or right, not even human life, etc. People are selfish by nature. And that is soooo sad. $$$CASH$$$
In the US circumcision started to stop boys from masturbating; they will take much longer to reach the orgasm, and the orgasm will not be as intense, but that will not stop them.
Nowadays the “medical” reasons to circumcision are for Doctors to make MONEY!!!
RELIGION--If God intended boys to not have "skin" He would have made them so.
HYGIENE--Use a new invention, soap and water!!! Women produce much more “smegma”, all kinds of discharges, wetness, and smells; because of physiologic and anatomical reasons, and how would you feel if they cut your vulva lips??? Women, why don’t you answer my question, are you afraid?
Baby girls are more likely to get urinary tract infections and no one suggests we surgically alter them at birth to reduce the risks! Just one of many double standards and laws that always treat men worse.
MEDICAL REASONS--No medical reasons. A extremely small chance of a complication do not justify the removal of the foreskin, if so, why don't we remove the tonsils and the appendix when a child is born, and the chance of complications of the tonsils and the appendix is much greater.
And for infections of all the organs, including female organs, use a new invention called antibiotics. Talking about complications, in fact many baby boys die each year from circumcision and related complications.
If its good for him its good for her.
Actually female circumcision is just as defensible as male circumcision. Cancer of the labia is twice as common as cancer of the penis. Removal of the labia would give more protection from cancer than male circumcising is supposed to.
