I just have to laugh at the thought that people really want to line up and vote for the idiots that have promised us all that they will raise our taxes.

Oh, that, and the fact that they are the same idiots that have told us that Social Security isn't broken and doesn't require an over-haul.  They'll simply fix that problem in their favorite way -- BY RAISING TAXES.

Please let them win, let them win and let them do what they've promised.  Once they screw things up so badly and raise the taxes on everyone enough to run us back into another recession they'll have pretty much sealed their fate as the party that raises taxes no matter what.

I don't get this, how can someone say I am going to take your money away from you, and yet the voters think this is a good idea?

Well, if you get something in return, like social advantages.. I don't see the problem? What you will pay in taxes, you won't have to pay somewhere else. That's the idea of socialism.

The main problem is, often, socialism is not well managed, and leads to inneffiency. Which is not always an absolute, but happens.

On the other side, an all-conservative government, with no taxes, doesn't offer anything to it's citizen. Which means army forces, hospitals, schools would only be rules by private businesses, who doesn't have to answer to the peoples.

The good thing is a balance. The good thing is to have the 2 sides. If America ever looses the liberals, you are in big trouble. If it looses the conservatives, you are in big trouble. However, in the past years, USA is slowly sliding toward more and more conservativism (both economicly, morally and socially). And the actual administration is uber-spending. where does it gets all that money? You gain protection, but you don'T want to pay for it?

Where does the actual deficit will end? When will you begin to repay what you own back? If you don't cut spending, you'll have to rise taxes.

I am a conservative, but I don't like to hear conservative ideas without hearing the more liberal. It helps remind me WHY I am a conservative.
