No More Vista

It's back to XP for me

This morning I come to the office at 9am as everyday and switch on my computer. I choose to boot in Vista... as everyday... and then... i get a 'blue screen' saying bla bla bla... that windows shut down my computer to prevent damage to it. I tried restarting few but times same thing.

So I will reinstall my computer today and it's back to XP MCE for me until final version of Vista is released. Anyway I am very happy that I had opportunity to test Vista and post some good articles and demos about on WinCustomize.

I think it's good that this happened because I will be able to see if I will now miss Vista after using it for about a month and that will show me if Vista is really worth of upgrading or not. Will I appreciate it now more because I will use XP again?

My money's on wanting vista reinstalled even if it's a bit buggy,to me having vista then going back to xp would be like using IE7 then reverting to IE6 ewwwwwwww

i have to make the comparison of the two browsers coz my comp can't run vista,otherwise i'd install the new OS,yeah i know weird logic but it works for me

Mine too!!! I dual boot between XP & Vista, and if I haven't been into Vista for a day or so I find myself being compelled to get back in there.

BTW, Life is a Game, were you running RC 2 or a previous version? I ask because Vista RC 2 is a faster and more streamlined version, a big improvement from the days of beta 2. Although I still can't install Nero 6.6 or HP Director for my 3-in-1, I'm finding Vista RC 2 is quite stable and easier to use than its predecessors, so roll on the day when Vista goes gold. If these improvements are anything to go by, it is going to be a great OS and a success for MS.

Great, now someone advises on how to get Vista back on line! I had to do a clean install of XP, and when my PC was booting up for the first time I noticed the Vista boot option was no longer there....and being the upgrade feature is disabled, I naturally assumed a clean install was necessary. Oh well, being that RC 2 was only a couple of days away, it didn't really matter that much because I would have done a clean install of it, anyway. I'll know next time, tho...

I ran Vista RC1 for a week and saw no redeeming features at all. It was a resource hog and is plagued with
incompatibilites. They will go away in time, however I did not even like the looks of it. I prefer XP and my
favorite windowblinds. At this time I consider Vista a Microsoft money grab. I tried IE7 too. I think I'll stick
with Firefox. I'll probably have to change at some point. maybe two or three years from now.

After nearly 10 days of using XP again I don't miss Vista a bit. The only things that I miss sometimes are large icons and time in 3 different international zones. So I'm not so sure I will upgrade to Vista immediately when it's released but rather wait until I get a new computer.

The other thing is also that the software that is currently available on the market it's not specifically written for Vista so it doesn't use all the goodies that Vista has to offer so I'm sure as those will be released Vista will look even more attractive as it does now.

I also switched now back to Firefox in XP and I like it more then IE7 in Vista. The design feels cleaner and more simple then IE7.

Some of the computers do not come with a disk. The Acer I purchased only has the copy on the harddrive and does not have a hard copy.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...........I've been dual booting between Vista and XP...since ...well since Vista for the common people came out...and I still choose XP when I need to get things done.
