Feline Fly Hunting

While we were coming into the house after our long tour a fly managed to follow us in. Socrates is fascinated. While the fly was walking on the celing Socrates was trying to figure out some way to get at it.

He tried jumping from the floor and realized there was no way he could get that high. He tried from my footstool and nearly made it casuing the fly to start buzzing around. That's when the real fun started. Socrates chased that fly from one end of the house to the other, using anything and everything as a lauching pad to try and catch his elusive prey.

The fly has finally grown tired of the game and has landed safely out of reach above the refrigerator and Socrates is sitting statue still on the footstool refusing to take his eyes off his intended prey.

I wonder which one will blink first?

Feline behavious can be so funny to observe, especially their hunting tactics. You have to let me know if Socrates gets that ever illusive fly.

Oh Socrates, get the bugger before he buzzes around dad and drives him crazy!

Rizla does the same, they can be awfully quick! It is like a game to them. You have to watch him for knocking things over in his tearing hurry to get the fly though.

kill the fly!
