War in Iraq making it worse??

War in Iraq making it worse??

Lets talk about this...

OK, I have a real problem here. I have been hearing since yesterday that a report from the Intelligence agencies say the War in Iraq has made terrorism worse instead of better. This was picked up of course by the anti-war groups and Left and hailed as proof positive that the Bush Administration has made yet another mistake.

I have one question to ask though. If this is a classified report, that means secret. Who is crying about the leaking of the classified document? Who leaked it and why? Should there not be an investigation since the left and anti-war types want an investigation into everything they see as illegal or improper? Where’s the cry for the person who "outed" the information, like the cry for the culprit who outed the supposed CIA agent?

I read report after report on this and many do not mention that the information comes from a classified document or they mention it in the end or some obscure place. What’s the deal here?

I want a full Congressional investigation into who and how this classified information got leaked (sound like the left!?!?!). And before people start quoting it, or using it to point fingers, the whole document will have to be considered. Context is everything.

The problem is the National Intelligence Estimate supports what I have said. The material in my book is being proven correct EVERY DAY.

Here is another section about the current problem of the military force levels being too small:

This is from my book about what Bush said concerning the size of the Active military and nation building:

"National Defense

During the campaign of 2000, Bush seemed to understand we had overused the so-called peace dividend and that our military, especially the Army, was too small. Bush also campaigned on a belief that the United States should limit its actions in nation building. It is hard to know whether Mr. Bush recognized the shortcomings in our security services that suffered from a lack of human resources and collaboration among the various agencies. Clearly the events of 9/11 documented in spades that we were vulnerable to attack and our intelligence network was inadequate."

"At the same time the Bush White House was planning the Iraq adventure, the Secretary of Defense set aside the issue of expanding our military strength. Instead Secretary Rumsfeld began his campaign to restructure the Department of Defense. It is true that the nature of the threat facing the United States has significantly changed since the end of the Cold War. Restructuring the military, to better align itself with the new threat, is a legitimate undertaking. However, restructuring alone does not deal with the adequacy of the active component to accomplish its mission. During the Cold War the United States faced an enemy of immense power that was relatively predictable. Today we face a combination of rogue states and international terrorist organizations such as al-Qaeda that have the capability of employing weapons of mass destruction (WMD). However, the real danger comes from the militant Islamists as Michael Scheuer points out is his book, Imperial Hubris."

YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE REPORT....YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE REPORT CONCLUDES.

People don't buy your book col because it's propaganda. I was right that your book is nothing but a collection of quotes from other Bush haters. Keep going col, you are on the right track of making sure Bush isn't re-elected?

Will you ever seek help for your obsession?

What we need is a change in the rubber stamp Congress in November 2006. What I have done in my book is research the issues and have used the experience of the MOST knowledgeable people in this country to show HOW Bush has failed America!

No col, what you want is tax raising liberals to be elected. Do not ever refer to yourself as a republican again.

What I have done in my book is research the issues and have used the experience of the MOST knowledgeable people in this country to show HOW Bush has failed America!

No col. You have taken the opinions of people who hate Bush, and try to make money off hating Bush. Richard Clarke is one example. The only difference is he made some money, while you are not. We have proven your stances wrong over and over and you simply ignore it and keep telling yourself "I AM RIGHT". I mean the total ignorance is outstanding.

Ever wonder why nobody buys your book? Even the other looney liberals here don't defend your bs, now that tells you something.

Thanks for proving my point. Your book is nothing but a collection of peoples opinions and their version of facts. Why did you waste your time writing this?

Oh, and next to Dan Rather you should put "disgraced journalist who lied about Bush". It will make readers connect with you more since you apply the same tactics.

The people who I used are some of the most knowledgeable in this country. The data came directly from the Federal Government. My Sources are a good balance between left and right.

The real test is that the issues that I covered and the results are just as discussed in my book. The Facts are accurate and the opinions are from people that have the knowledge and experience that makes their opinion valid unlike many on this blog site who simply defend a leader that has not accomplished a single thing that has benefited the majority. What Bush has done only benefited a small segment of our society and the harm he has crated in Iraq, trade, deficit, border security, energy has HARMED us ALL!

Col, you know nothing about balance. You are as far left as they come, and your posts here have proven that.

Bush hasn't harmed me col. You don't speak for "ALL", so stop claiming it. We have showed you how you are wrong about most of that. We have also asked you how the democrats will do any better.

Let's take border security and immigration. What are the democratic solutions? A new welfare state for votes maybe?

Yes he has. You are just to dumb to know it!

How about this Gene from Ruters

"You can read it for yourself," Bush said. "We'll stop all the speculation, all the politics about somebody saying something about Iraq, somebody trying to confuse the American people about the nature of this enemy."

Bush said he agreed with the report's conclusion that successes against the al Qaeda leadership had led to extremists "becoming more diffuse and independent" and that they were using Iraq as a recruiting tool.

But, he said, "some people have guessed what's in the report and have concluded that going into Iraq was a mistake. I strongly disagree. I think it's naive."

Lets see what it says, then relook at what you and everyone else has said..

Let's look at what has taken place since we invaded Iraq in March 2003:

We have a 2.5 increase in Ad Qaeda according to the CIA.

We have helped elect a government that is of the same ilk as that which is in Iran.

The rate of killing in Iraq has now surpassed the rate of killing under Saddam.

We have killed almost 3,000 Americans and wounded over 20,000 more.

We have spent almost 1/2 a Trillion dollars with no end in sight.

We have destroyed most of the military equipment of the Army and Marines.

We have provided Iraq as a place where Al Qaeda is now operating.

We have enabled the sectarian violence to move Iraq to Civil War.

Which of the above do you think is good for America?

We have a 2.5 increase in Ad Qaeda according to the CIA.

2.5 what? What about the Al Qaeda that bombed the cole? The Al Qaeda that Bombed the WTC the first time? So which is worse. Al Qaeda in Iraq and violence there, or here in the states? I know my vote.

We have helped elect a government that is of the same ilk as that which is in Iran.

We elected them? Hmmm thought Iraqi people voted for the Gov? Oh thats right they are the same as Iran, they are wanting nukes and a serious threat to us now. Thats right I almost forgot.

[Quote]The rate of killing in Iraq has now surpassed the rate of killing under Saddam.

Please provide me your source on this please (something authoritative please, not a left or right web site by some blogger)

We have killed almost 3,000 Americans and wounded over 20,000 more.

"WE" have not killed a one. Not one single one. The terrorist have, and we have killed a whole hell of a lot of them. How many did we lose in one day on D-Day? And that was only one day of the war. We have lost fewer men than in peace time in one year!

We have spent almost 1/2 a Trillion dollars with no end in sight.

Yep I agree, what price do you put on a war?

We have destroyed most of the military equipment of the Army and Marines.

What are they fighting with then? Seems to me, I will research this of course, but replacement of equipment has actually increased past pre-war speed. During previous wars, the US retooled to produce the required equipment, due to the lack of balls, we have forgotten this lesson.

We have provided Iraq as a place where Al Qaeda is now operating.

Duh! We told all Al Qeada "Go to Iraq its the place to be. " I missed that advertisment on the TV or in the magazines. Thats the idea, would you rather have them operating on the streets of Miami? I personally prefer the spontaniously exploding street walker to happen in some far away land.

[Quote]We have enabled the sectarian violence to move Iraq to Civil War.

Maybe this will be what Iraqi's need to wake up and stand up for themselves. Maybe not. Seems I recall a civil war here a while back that only made our country stronger.
