Those are impressive shots, but I'd hope their from an in-game video with the hi-res wand waved over it. A game that looked like that would be practically unplayable.

I read their forums and with todays high end machine the game should run at 40-60fps.

Was it a preview #4? Since that game is not out yet. I only hope its better than darkstar one. Not that dso is not a good game, just bit repeating or whats the word

Also, as you can see on the sites, the Release Date is:TBA , so the game has yet to be dated for release, so by the time it comes out, maybe mid-next year, Ill have a better computer video card to play it with.

Nice website but should have had someone whos primary language was english proof read it. It was interesting but very painful reading the histories of the different races.

It just looks like a dumbed down X3 to me. If you're interested in this sort of game, I'd go for the X series instead - bigger universe, more ships, more customiseability, a more in-depth economic engine, the ability to build your own stations and factories. The graphics are slightly less demanding, but they still look top of the line and easily comparable.

So yeah, only the graphics really impress me.

Im a graphics whore, so any game that has good graphics will appeal to me   

But when I saw this 1, it really looked awsome, it hasnt changed much thogh, no release date as of yet...

graphics are nothing if the gameplay sucks. Porshe on the outside, gremlin on the inside lol what are games coming to these days

I know what you are saying Raeki. I am pretty sure my graphics card just melted and reformed into a plastic Elvis Bobblehead after seeing those screenshots.

Yeah... Space Force wasn't that good. X3 is still great fun. With the X-Tended mod its even better. They add M8 frigates!  If X4 comes out, I will definetly buy a new computer to play it!

If the X dev ever discover or learn how to make an interface, I'll buy X4. I have every game, and unfortunately the games could be great, really, but the interface is sooo horrible, it really ruins a lot of the experience. We've had windows for what, over a decade? Why use a DOS-Shell interface for a game that so complex and intricate?



PS, how is X-tended? Does it help with some of the balance issues, etc?

X-tended is fun, I only tried it on a friend's computer, but its really fun

3. Everything!  

I hate necro-ing a thread, but the last few messages on here really sparked me... I love the concept of X3: Reunion, with or without the mods, but as denyasis says, the UI is horrible. I had to stop playing it altogether because it's an excercise in frustration, irritation, anger, and tedium trying to use their UI. Worst UI design I'd ever seen in a game, or anywhere for that matter... And as I said, it's a total shame because it's a great game in concept.

Graphics phooey! One of the best games ever came out on the commodore 64. Anyone remember M.U.L.E.?

Wow -same with me. I loved the idea, loved the dynamic universe, corporation building aspects. But the UI is just such a letdown. It effectively prevents you to enjoy all but simplest aspects of the game (single fighter combat is only thing semi manageable).

I think egosoft lost many players to their horrible UI, but ,sadly fails to admit that ( devs constantly pinch that there is nothing wrong with interface)
