Considering those have been established as fabrications, I am glad they removed them. The republicans had a fit over the Reagan movie and they were pulled but it was never fully established that those were fabrications.

Also funny this comes from traditionalvalues.org, a pretty sick organisation in their own right.

The republicans had a fit over the Reagan movie and they were pulled but it was never fully established that those were fabrications.

No one threatened them with a law suit.  Just a boycott.  Perhaps the wallet is mightier than the lawyer?

They didn't establish that the events didn't happen (they did) only that the scenes were invented.

The Clinton administration DID inform Pakistan that it would be sending cruise missiles into Afghanistan AND Pakistan DID warn Al Qaeda of the attack so that they could evacuate the camp. That is not up for debate, that's history. It happened.  The scene, with Madeline Albright making arguments as to why they warned Pakistan and the other dialog was invented but it's a matter of detail not a matter of rewriting history.

I think it's good that they changed the scenes. There is more than enough material to damn Clinton without having to resort to events that cannot be completely verified.

Of course, in the end, Clinton didn't commit 9/11. This whole game of "which American is the most to blame" simply takes energy away from the real fight against Islamic fascism.

But it's not about blame. It's about learning from history.

It's a good demonstration of what happens if you treat this as a law enforcement issue rather than as a war.

Spot on, viridian. That's my biggest beef with the 9/11 Commission & the commission members who've been pontificating for public consumption ever since - the focus has been entirely on who & what organizations dropped what balls. Almost none of the anger has been focused on "how can we do the job better?" I also bridle at some of the 9/11 widows who casually insist they know what they would have done had they been in charge and bitterly bitch that President Bush should have jumped out of his seat in that classroom instantly, as if that would have made any difference. What wasted energy.
