World famous user interface designer, Dr. Theo Mandel, has agreed to participate in the GUI Olympics as one of the judges of the contest.
Dr. Mandel will be replacing me as a judge. As the primary article writer and commentator on the GUI Olympics, it was becoming apparent that it would not be appropriate for me to be a commentator/article creator and still be one of the judges.
The change couldn't have come at a better time. Dr. Mandel, founder of IDD (http://www.interface-design.net) is a well known author of user interface design books such as "Elements of User Interface Design".
He was also involved on both CUA 89 and CUA 91 (the user interface standards that govern how Windows, OS/2, and Linux today largely work).
