Which Empire is Right For Me?

Hi, my name is Master U or you can call me M.U, we are at The Galactic Empire, need some new members to join us, since we do not have any rules right now, so you can join anytime in any conditions,

Our Empire is in the 4th rank, soon we gonna have 3rd place Empire medal, which we will get even sooner if you'll be in it

we are now 41 members and counting, we will always be open to new members that needs Empire, we have a site too, The Galactic Empire Official Website in there you can find forums about the Empire, the Empire members, some strategies that can help ya, General talk forum, polls, and quizzes, you can find there some active members that log in to see a new post or anything so you could talk to them. the forum has PM (private message) so you can send me a PM if you want to tell me something either..

my Empire is not the best one, there are a lot of Empires that your membership can make a lot of difference, like smaller Empires that their score will jump a few places up when you will join, however, in bigger Empires, your average score will effect the Empire in a small change (because of the average score of all the Empire have)

our Empire is a active one, some Empires are not active and their leader is not checking his Empire everytime so if you want to feel helpful and not a lonely guy that he is the only one in his Empire that posting games, you should join an active Empire...

our name "The Galactic Empire" is taken from the movie Star Wars, you can join it if you like star wars or not, there are some people in the Empire that don't like star wars at all and even like Star Trek more or anything else, but we are all together for the fun and not only for the movie..

so... That's all about our Empire, feel free to join another one that may offer you something even better, cause there are a lot of good Empire out there, so make a good choice!

There are dozens of empires out there some with only one member, some with hundreds but what makes some empires more popular that others?

Besides just giving you a plug for the Galactic Diplomats, you should do what I did which was to do a little homework on your own. Check out the info that you have available. Look at the empire's top players and see what kind of games they post. See if they've posted anything recent. Check out the empire's website.

What I was looking for was an empire that was active and current and whose top players posted the kind of games I wanted to post. I was also hoping that by joining an empire I could perhaps gain game advice that was a little more detailed than that available on the general GalCiv2 forums (don't get me wrong there's good advice there as well). I found what I was looking for with the Diplomats, but that doesn't mean that there aren't many other good choices.

You could also try the Galactic Core, the official home of the Galactic Diplomats.
We are currently 2nd in the Metaverse and looking for members to boost us into the top spot

The Galactic Core forums have graciously given us our own private forums and we can take advantage of the games, mods etc that the site hosts as well.

Does each empire have different rules regarding who can join and the way members have to play their games?

No, we don't have. It's an open Empire everybody can join us.

who's in it, what are the joining conditions, what their ambitions are and what is expected of its members etc.

Feel free to check the Empire stats to see who is in.
There are people from all around the world (USA, Australia, Finnland, Germany to mention a few).
I think, they all expect to have fun with GC2, thats all.
And of course we will try to stay on top as long as possible after we had a long and hard way to get so far.  

We also have our own small [forum where all members have a place to talk about everything.

Hehe, this reminds of that television commercial where the lenders are lining up to pitch the borrower. Cool, well, I like The Galactic Empire. They have a great little website and forum with various discussions. M.U. is very active in the forum here and in the empire forum so it seemed like one of the best ones. Also like the Star Wars theme. Hope to see ya

I watch it when I can, there is an option that let's you "Watch" your posts, everything you or anyone else post something I got new mail that let me know that there was a reply on the site...
