Can't get the welcome screen to display when returning from screensaver

Hey All, Got a little problem here, not sure if its in the logon studio program itself or windows, but i cant seem to find a cure through windows.. so i am thinkin its the logon studio software.. so i post here. anyway... When i return from the screensaver, the computer displays the classic user logon dialog instead of the welcome screen, and i cant seem to get this fixed. I have the "Use Welcome Screen" Checked off & "Use Fast User Switching" checked off in the User Accounts Control Panel. Any info or thoughts are very welcome Thanx

Is it just one logon or all logons?
Do the ones that come with it work?

Do you have 'show welcome' (or equivalent - no screensaver allowed where I am) indicted in the screensaver tab in properties (right click desktop)?

Hey JaymanX, for user accounts I have use welcome screen and use fats user switching selected, just to test set screensaver for On resume, display welcome screen. Set at 1 min waited for screensaver to come on, moved mouse to exit screensaver and had LogonStudio logon.
Since you have not stated as to logonstudio applying at shutdown or start up the only reason I know for classic logon is that your on a domain. If so logonStudio does not work on systems on a domain.

I empathise Jayman....since 'restoring' my Lap 2 weeks ago to freshen apps & update for a fresher C drive, I have been unable to use my LogonStudio or Bootskins....the only way to get a bootscreen I like is to use the one from my Vista Transformation Pack 5.o1 & I can only use the Welcome screen option...if I check password, I get the sterile blue Windows screen w a Logon Window...Bichur tried to assist me w this on the weekend to try & resolve this mystery, but I have recently discovered another user w the same Toshiba Satellite Laptop as I had the very same thing occurr as well recently;apparantly it doesn't do this on his Desktop;I figure in my case it's either Windows GDI security preventing the Stardock LogonStudio & Bootskins apps from working OR the customization suite mentioned earlier

ok... Bichur, It happens with all logons, even the original logons that come with the program.. not quite sure what you meant by... "Do you have 'show welcome' (or equivalent - no screensaver allowed where I am) indicted in the screensaver tab in properties (right click desktop)?" if you mean "On Resume, Passord Protect" Yes i have that checked.. and Cavan1, I hear what yer sayin, but no i am not on a domain.. just a regular network on a workgroup.. On bootup i get the welcome screen, on shut down i get a welcome screen, but returning from screensaver i just get the classic windows logon dialog. I also tried editing some settings with my account user name, and the name of my computer and the name of the workgroup, cause sometimes that can cause wierd issues like that.. but nothing helped. Oh yea, and by the way im running WinXp Pro w/ SP1. Thanx all.

Both "Use Welcome Screen" and "Fast User Switching" must be enabled and applied in "Control Panel > User Accounts > Change the way users logon" to enable the Welcome screen for boot and resume functions.

Note - if you have "Offline" files enabled, this automatically disables "Fast User Switching", which in turn disables the Welcome screen on resume.

That means at home - I don't have any of the accounts password protected - & when I go to the screen saver tab (after right clicking desktop > properties) I get an option to 'show welcome' (which brings up the logon screen) when I move the mouse, etc., else it just brings up my desktop. It also means I can't check the wording or settings, etc., at work cuz I have my employer/our IT staff decided nobody gets to use a screensaver - there no tab.

Interesting note Corky - never knew that.

I have been battling the "on resume display welcome screen" issue for some time now. I have discovered how to get the welcome screen to be displayed when resuming from a screen saver. There must be another account created on the machine. Create another account (limited or otherwise) and you will have the option to have the welcome screen displayed. This is particularly annoying since this is a laptop and I am the only user.
