I didn't think your scores qualified on the metaverse if you were using ANY Mods in the game

Normally, the game won't let you start a Metaverse game if "enable mods" is checked in the setup so that shouldn't be an issue.

I believe the "cheater flag" checks if any of the stock game files have been modified. There's a file called gc2.xml in the xml directory that contains checksums and time stamps.

If you've modified one or more of the game's stock files, you'll probably have to uninstall the game, remove any files left behind, and reinstall the game to stop getting flagged.

If you want to play heavily modded games (where stock files have been altered), you might try running two installations, a stock one for Metaverse and a modded one for tinkering.

Hey Bro I Had Same Thing Happened I Still Have 3 Cheat Flags Up Found Out That Beta & Straight From Store Made The Flags Pop Up So I Took The Whole Game Off My Computer & Reinstalled It & Downloaded The Free Upgrade 1.2 Or Whatever It Is On The Site & Now All Is Well With My Gameing Still Wish Those Flags Would Go Away But Ohh Well ....Hope This Helps I'll Go See What That Download Is & Get Back To Ya ...

One of the Betas also set the cheat flag, so if you are playing that particular Beta, upgrade to the newest full release (unless you like playing with Betas, then upload the latest Beta)

I am on 1.3 beta 2a and I submitted my first game last night and I have a cheat flag set. I don't use Mods at all so it must be the beta, I guess i won't submit any metaverse games untill the beta patch becomes official.

No idea what it is until you post the debug.err. It shouldn't be the beta.

1.3 beta does cause the 'cheat flag' at present. Not sure if this is to be fixed for 1.3b3 or not.

Full version is sometime next month, from what I've heard.

The XML ability files were edited for 1.3 due to a missing loyalty option that, when fixed, caused the custom race to have an illegal bonus. It's not very likely to be that, but it IS an XML alteration, so it might be possible.

Everything not hard coded, yes. But doing so voids your ability to play metaverse.

I think every little change will make the cheating flag to appear, so the best thing is to put all your mods in the mods folder, not in the original file

Sorry I am new to Metaverse so I don't totally understand what you are saying. Will this message appear before we start the game, after we have selected our options? If so how can I fix my custom race so that it is not invalid?

The would be good if the cheat flag would notifiy you *before* starting a Metaverse game. That would really torque me to play a whole game only to find it's flagged after I submit it.
