You didn't mention how you are capturing your Desktop. I just tried the most elemental method, using the "PrtScn" key. So, specifically, I clicked on the Start Menu button, pressed the "PrtScn" key, opened PaintShop Pro, clicked on "Edit/Paste as new image" and voilà, everything looked as it should with the Start Menu included.

If you are clicking on something to take your screenshot, that causes the Start menu to disappear. Check the help files for your screenshot app and find if you can either use or enable and use hotkeys (press a key instead of click to get the screenshot).

Just hit "PrtSc" on your keyboard to take the screenshot with the Start Menu open, go to Microsoft Paint or your favorite Image Editing program, and hit CTRL + V on your keyboard. Then save the image. Whoolah!

Yes that's corn oil. Taken most likely from the word maize.

maize

n 1: tall annual cereal grass bearing kernels on large ears: widely cultivated in America in many varieties; the principal cereal in Mexico and Central and South America since pre-Columbian times [syn: corn, Indian corn, Zea mays] 2: a strong yellow color [syn: gamboge, lemon, lemon yellow]
