Is it wrong to hope...

Is it wrong to hope that Fidel Castro's health problems start snowballing and winds up taking him away from this life?

... from where I sit, I really don't think so (that it would be wrong to hope he passes on soon).

I'm betting that a lot of folks in Cuba and Little Havana (and other Cuban American enclaves) would not think so either.

Well, it sounds more serious than a cold.  And you know how fatal those Russian colds are.

gee of that's wrong I must be way wrong to wish him a long slow painfilled death.

On another person's demise, yes, it is wrong to hope that. We can wish it on them, especially when they deserve it, but hope it, no.

The saying goes that what goes around comes around; and the evil that you do will come back to haunt you. Well, no need to hope because it's all taken care of!

Yes. It's cruel and downright inconsiderate. I really thought better of you.

I, in my supremely high moral position, merely wish him a sudden death from an overdose of lead, say .50 caliber, or perhaps for a ceiling to fall on his head. If it's helped along by high explosive, all the better.

See how easy it is taking the high ground?

I'm amazed that he actually has a successor already lined up and ready to go and that it looks like there'd be a smooth transition of power if he did pass on.

Many of us had grandiose thoughts that if he was gone Cuba might turn to reforms and democracy again, but it seems that will not happen as there would be someone stepping into the power vacuum if he does die. Unless you could get rid of most of the people that he's had around as confidants, it seems change will be delayed much longer there (in Cuba).

I feel for the people of Cuba, and for those from there that have come to the U.S.A. and hope to someday return home to Cuba. When and if they ever do, they have a mess to look forward to, and unless they take a lot of "American" money with them, things would be pretty bleak there for some time to come.

Of course it`s not wrong to wish his death. He has deserved this for over 45 years. I hope he slowly suffocates and chokes on a chicken bone. Then I hope he is cremated and his ashes are flushed into a septic tank where they belong.

Yes, it's evil. I wish the old bastard a quick and painless death.
