OK Master U now it is your turn

You asked for our MV strategies... which I tried to answer as well as I could.
You've obviously found a way to score that no one else has.

So how are you doing it?

the strategy is at reply #1.

oh and I got something extra:

1. after you read it, make sure you are playing a race that have good core ships and good starting techs.

2. and you starting abilities should be like this:

-5 points on speed. (you must be fast if you want to colonize every planet in the galaxy. well not every planet but the most!)

-3 points on economy. ( if you want to colonize fast, you need to have a lot of cash!)

-2 points on military. (help you build colony ships really fast)

3. set the spending line to 100. and taxs on what will give you approval 100% (as you said 99 is not enough).

4. every planet you colonize should first:

-have 3 factories on it.

-build starport as soon as possible.

-every planet should build colony ships even planets with only 1000 M people. (it will go back to 5000 B in time)

-if you have a good planet in range of class (13-30) you should build 5 factories, 3 labs, 3 entertainment centers, 3 trade centers, 1 farm and you should save some tiles for future production

5. as soon as you research to "Research Academy" you need to research the whole trade, farm, production tree.

6. at this point the AI is getting really strong and he have some ships. so you should research the "Invasion" and the "Defense" tree. that will give you enough soldiering to protect yourself from being destroyed.

7. now research the speed, "Mass Driver" and "Mass Driver Defense" tree.

8. now when the colony rush is over. upgrade all your colony ships (assuming you have enough money)to your best military ship.

9. and strike them down!

10 things you should do at the beginning:

-set servery ship to "Auto Servery"

- colonize far planets and then the closer ones.

- number of races is no matter (I think)

- try to have more then 50 Trillion people in your Empire.

- set everything (when you choose map size and victory situation) to abundant

That's it. hope it will help ya.
Special Thanks to ubertaco.

- try to have more then 50 Trillion people in your Empire.

You had a 4 (really <5) year game on a medium map with a score of 156750 and a 0 (really <1) year game on a medium map with a score of 221500. How are you growing your population so fast on a medium map game? In my first Metaverse game playing on a gigantic map, everything abundant, 9 opponents, and very fast research, keeping my morale at 100% I got my population up to about 10% of the above. How did you complete one of your game's in less than a year with a high population?

Heh, wow, I was the master?

I don't play metaverse, but glad my thoughts worked for you Master U.

For what you are doing early speed is certainly going to be needed, but on the maps I play normally it isn't needed that much, so the extra pop growth is where I put the points.

Master U the dark side of the force is strong with U...

Now you can't expect us to believe you had 5 trillion population in just 0 years, even if the game ended in december.

no really guys... I just build like 5 farms in each planet and reaserched the "Terraforming" what that really boosting up my population and your score (because of the Aphrodisiac)! and I did "rare" on the non-habitable planets that means that every star system have 5 planets and they are all habitable.. (well not all but there are times when I see like 10 star systems that have no non-habitable planets). I just used another startegy.... my last stategy was to build improvements and build colony ships only from my home world... so that is really big change for me... and you all saw the player "killzone" he got really be score in just 10 -15 games? I'm planing to play until I got 25 games... I got some other things to do in my life.... but you could really have some help from the real lords... the top 5 list players...

and that 0 years game was a totally a bug I played with 9 opponents and it was like 6 year long game and I ended (I think) in april but i'm not sure... I think there is something worng with this system, maybe it was mm... I don't know a good bug???!?!?! star dock should check about it I can send them a save game that I did before my last game...

Sorry Master U I can't see how that adds up.

I've played almost clones of what you are suggesting, I play 70% boost to pop, Build Aphrodisiac asap, even play Universalists and the pop does not grow that quickly.

Either you've found a bug or you are purposely breaking something.
How many planets have you got on your medium map? There is a limit of 100M people on each planet (and getting up that high is really tricky as you need 100% approval to keep the growth going).

So you need to 50 of these planets at least. You really need a heck of a lot of morale buildings to keep it up there. My guess is that either your morale or pop growth has become tweeked in some way.

(Actually I've just re-read your strategy and it makes even less sense as your buildings on planets would halt the population at 5b for months until you'd finished building everything... so try again with your explanation)

that's simple, calculate:

Billion it's 00000 zeros right?
and Trillion it's 000000 zeros right?

I got 70 planets in a medium map, I leave my 9th opponent alone on it's home world, (that's mean I got the whole planets on the map, even the level 4 planets (low levels I got almost 16 of 70)

so the range goes like this:

every planet I got have at least 45 B people on it, (in that case no matter who many soldiers the AI bring to my planet, because it is well secured) now 45b X 70 =
(not 50 Trillion people but in large map you should have that way) that's suppose to be 31500000 T (I think... I'm really bad in math) anyway the more Happy people you got the more score you get...

please try to understand (questions like yours should be asked with someone that have more points then mine. and for now I'm starting to lose some points I don't know why...)
Thanks again

Master U

No one has more points per game on medium than you do. The gigantic maps allow huge populations... not sure how you've managed such high ones on medium.

Billion it's 00000 zeros right?
and Trillion it's 000000 zeros right?

Just to put things right:
1 Million = 1,000,000 = 1M
1 Billion = 1,000,000,000 = 1B = 1000M
1 Trillion = 1,000,000,000,000 = 1T = 1000B = 1000000M

It's factor 1000 between the neighbouring ones. The 5T or 50T from above can't be true: You'd need over 150 well-populated planets for even the 5T.

ops.... I just took the game numbers..... but it's still true you just add everyone another 0000 zeros right?

You multiply by 1000, that means you add 3 zeros (000).

I really suck in math....

Never mind, just don't confuse us too much with the numbers.

Just to put things right:
1 Million = 1,000,000 = 1M
1 Billion = 1,000,000,000 = 1B = 1000M
1 Trillion = 1,000,000,000,000 = 1T = 1000B = 1000000M

That's under the American system; in the British system:
1 Million = 1Thousand X 1Thousand = 1,000,000
1 Billion = 1Million X 1Million = 1,000,000,000,000
1 Trillion = 1Billion X 1Billion = 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

We need to get the whole world under 1 number system and 1 measuring system. I vote for the American number system but the metric measuring system.

1 Trillion = 1Billion X 1Billion = 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

This one is wrong, it is 1T = 1M x 1M x 1M = 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 = 10^18 in the (old) British system. Link
Anyway, we were speaking about GalCiv 2, that's why I explained the system of numbers in there (being used to the other system as a European as well).

We need to get the whole world under 1 number system and 1 measuring system. I vote for the American number system but the metric measuring system.

I agree.

I think both systems are right! I just need some math lessons that's all!?
