 If you use terms like "disproportionate response" after all isn't that the idea? to overwhelm the enemy?

 If you weep about the Lebanese "civilians deaths" while ignoring the rockets and missiles and Ieds that kill innocent civilians in Israel.

Really think that somehow it is wrong for Israel to defend herself as SHE SEES FIT, when attacked with no provocation.

I have been reading the articles here for a couple days now and am amazed that so many here are undercover and sometimes not so under cover out and out Jew-haters. It is almost like the holocaust never happened. For thousands of years it has been the thing to do, hate Jews and be smug about it.

I really do not care if you hate me because I am a Jew that refuses to play by your rules, the fact that you play by one set and we Jews must play by another.

No we are not going to go away, we will continue to bomb what you call innocent people that allow themselves to be used as staging platforms for terrorist attacks.

I will gladly name names if I need to, but..... you know who you are, now just own up to it, you hate Jews, be proud of your hatred, step right out there and stop hiding.

Ignorance is bliss. Thanks for the article UBob. So often people are too conclusive and do not heed advice (or even ponder to determine if wise or not). But we must also recognize that this is a generational hate. A hate that is taught within one's culture is never easily changed. Reveling in our ignorance make believing we 'know' something is man's greatest downfall.

No you are saying Israel doesn't have a RIGHT to defend herself. That is the whole bottom line of this issue. You have repeatedly stated that this offensive was because of three kidnapped soldiers. Col, do you realize that children in Israel carry cell phones. Why? Because they are to check in with family at different points throughout the day. Everyday they live with the knowledge that they may not see their family at the end of the day. Keep in mind this is BEFORE the war started. The majority of the people there have been DIRECTLY impacted by someone being severely injured or killed by a bus bomb. This is the everyday life of many Israelis. There are some women who live in terror as they have to walk a dangerous stretch of road that is known to be 'hunting grounds' for kidnappings. Many have been displaced out of their homes in the name of peace. And you say these people shouldn't retaliate. How much is enough Col? How much more must they endure?

wonderful commentary, but sadly it will fall of deaf ears, gene can onmly think one way and is not open to changing his mind. To gene america and Isreal are the bad guys.. America because he did not get his generals star and Israel because it is a Jewish state.

I dont think he is.  I really think that if Bush was against israel in this matter, he would be an Israel lover.  He is playing the "The Enemy of my Enemy is my Friend" and vice versa.
