saves compatiblility with 1.3

can i use 1.2 saves with 1.3 beta or i have to start a new game???

I think you probably will have to. that seems to be the case for every update.

I'm guessing the update will come out probably around 4-6 pm eastern time. So you got at least 3 hours to finish up the game you are playing.

As with all upgrades it is advised that you complete your current game before upgrading. You should also archive the game in SDC before installing the Beta, just in case the Beta has major problems and you need to return to a stable build.

Much of the game's data is embedded in the save games, so mixing that with changes made in new patches can always be a source of problems, even if the save format itself hasn't changed and can be loaded by the game. Best bet is to finish it first or just toss it and start a new game in the new patch.
