"Today" date in new forums does not differentiate months

Noticed this in my watchlist, but checked it going through Recent Active Posts and clicking next until I got to earlier months. Any posts with today's date 26 are listed as "Today" no matter the month the actual last post was in the thread.

Edit: Thought it included "Yesterday". Apparently not.
