(Since I forgot to post on this chapter yesterday, I'm going to post two chapters today, so I don't get my blogging behind my actual reading)
Life on earth is just the dress rehearsal before the real production.
(This is in direct contrast to what I've heard and believed my whole life--that life is NOT a dress rehearsal, and we need to get it right the first time. I think I like this idea better...that this is just practice, to get us ready for an eternal life.)
When you live in light of eternity, your values change. You use your time and money more wisely. You place a higher premium on relationships and character instead of fame or wealth or achievements or even fun.
(Ideally, this would be true....doesn't happen in all cases, though.)
There are eternal consequences to everything you do on earth. Every act of our lives strikes some chord that will vibrate in eternity.
(IMO, this is something we would all do well to remember before we speak, type or act from this point on....)
