Wincustomize.com is faster using this:

By using Opera browser, i found out that wincustomize load faster(some times it just take 5 secs. to open the forum), but even that it is faster, like a 20% of all functions from the site wont work(smileys, quotes., etc.).

Now, if u want to use all functions try using FireFox, I.E. or even WC Browser(ok.., not all., i still can't change my avatar).

And well, this is how it works for me.., how about you?

FF 1.5.0.4 = 3.5 seconds
Opera 9.0 build 8501 = 5.5 seconds
Tycus, quotes and smileys are not working right in Opera or FF for me.

Back in FF now, above was Opera, with both, page load times vary greatly, from 3 or 4 seconds to 10 or 12 seconds, sometimes even more, and thats on a 5 meg DSL.

I use Opera (v. 9.0) because I can customize it the way I want. Generally it seems fast, but I haven't done any browser racing. My experience with Opera on WC has been:

- pages opening: sometimes fast, sometimes like molasses in January... more or less like everybody else, I believe

- The Smilies & other controls on the Forum Comments box aren't working in Opera. They work in IE. A StarDock person said the plan is to get back to Opera after things are set up for IE (my understanding of what was said, anyway)

- The Smilies & other controls on the Gallery Comments box work just fine in Opera

- I can't upload to the Gallery using Opera. IE works.

In the past, T-Man has made things work for Opera after IE was set. I am assuming his group will come through again

Tycus - On another thread the avetar problem was addressed and Kilo left the link to Stardock - if you go there and click on the tab " my Account " I was able to change my Avetar in seconds - trying through WC didnt work with 50 plus attempts.

Just sign in as you would WC here :

Actually its a " Personal Icon " okokok you got me on the spelling....

Buzzh58 made me that Avatar - I think its " me "
