Im sorry - i know what it is - I should have been more clear - I was asking Bichur about his comment - i was confused cause I hadnt seen any reference to natural desktop - but I see there was anther thread about it - perhaps he thought I was on that thread asking about it.

You think that someone could have at least acknowledged the fact that I keep writing about not being able to upload a frivolous avetar - but to me its not frivilous when I see my account with someone elses Link in my browser.
A simple " we will see into it one day " would at least make me feel im not talking to myself.

Fairyy~....I have tried to upload my first avatar many dozens of times periodically over the last 4 weeks...with no success....I have followed your 'squeaks' and also Wreckless Eric's comments hoping for a solution but no luck until I just followed KiloKrash's link and signed in there (didn't know you could do that!)....uploaded avatar and voila....in a flash...success......thanks to you for persisting and big thanks to KiloKrash for the solution.......

I apologise to Kilo - i didnt even try that link to be honest - i thought he was advising how to upload a file like icons and such. I was just more concerned with the crossing over of accounts . Im sure they will get it fixed eventually. Im just having an identity crisis.

Kilo- I cant believe how simple that was ..I didnt understand what you meant because I've never even been to Stardock site. Thankyou for a quick solution to an irritating problem.

All the bugs are starting to get to me. For weeks, this is what I get when I go to the site...






I have to refresh the page about 3 or 4 times, sometimes more, to get a normal page. I can't sign on when it is doing this. Then, when I finally do sign on, I have to sign on to every page I go to in the site. Usually, the sign on will not work and I just give up and try a few hours later, when, for some unknown reason, everything seems fine again.




I am currently posting this through Stardock Central, because when this crap happens, it's the only way I can get on here. IE and FF will not work. This is the only site that does this. I have tried clearing my cache, setting ZA to accept all WC, Stardock sites, shutting ZA off, shutting NoScript off (which is set to allow all WC and Stradock sites to begin with) I have or am experiencing just about every bug I come across in the forums (Changing avatars, uploads, forum posts only half posting, etc)

These things seem to come and go, but lately, come and stay. When one thing gets fixed, something else goes out. Forum links won't post right, I fixed the problem with not seeing animations in the forums and the smilies go out again.


I did email support a week or so ago, but never heard back.


Imma stressin'. I know you all are busy, and I can't begin to imagine how much work all these changes and stuff take, but are we getting close to being free from all of these little irritants?

Po' i see you have the FF extension NoScript installed. you must make sure you allow Wincustomize.com and startdock.com to run scripts. this may help

I always do. It's not my extension settings or other software, as I have turned them all off and had the same results when trying to get on the site.

To be safe, (haven't tested it yet) would be to try using your email address in the username form field instead of your nickname as perhaps the single quote is messing with the login somehow. Just a thought.

Yes, indeed. I know that special characters in names have now been disallowed. You may wish to contact T-man about changing your nickname.
