Lets eat Spaghettis & Pizza

Yup, no worries about eating in an Italian restaurant after today's final. Maybe they'll offer a complimentary bottle of wine if you're lucky enough.

I'm disappointed though. Watching the end of the game I could feel the pain of the players on both sides. You could tell how tired they were. And the frustration building up. Maybe that's why Zidane acted the way he did.

I cant believe he was thrown out of the competition. The day of the final, the last day of his carreer. It's so sad to see him leave that way. I'm sure he had a good reason to do what he did, well I hope so! And I'm not sure it would have changed much had he still have been in the game. Maybe in the penalties he would have kept up with the Italians? I'm not sure, I'm disgressing.

What a month! At least we're second finalists, that's pretty good when no one thought we'd go past Spain, heh!

So Bravo Italia! Bravo France! Bravo Football!

Lets go eat some lasagna now...

It was a good, hard fought battle. It was played with passion on both sides, which is what makes a great game. Zidane, however, completely 100% deserved the red card. One of Italy's kep players was knocked out of the tournament during the US/Italy game for an eldow to the face of McBride. At least in that situation in was the mist of the action, what Zidane did was just stupid. He let his emotions get the best of him, he ruined his own last game. He also hurt his team, what a legacy.

Italy is jumping tonight! Car horns and fireworks are still going off (it's a little after 1 am). We are in Florence right now and will head into town tomorrow to see what's going on.

Viva Italia!

Yeah, a hard fought battle indeed! They really were equal teams and it's really sad that gesure Zidane had, inexcusable that's true, but i still like him alot. I'm sure something must have been said and it got the best of him. What a pity though

I watched the game, and I felt bad for you babes, I really did.  I missed the first half, and I am told that Italy completely dominated...but from what I saw France looked the stronger side, and I felt they deserved to win.  I hate it when it goes to penalties, it just doesn't seem right.  As for Zidane....I know you like him, but the way he behaved was terrible.  I was really shocked, you would really think he would know better.  What a way to leave his last game.  I am sure he will regret that.  The one bonus for me was there was a close up of Henrys thigh!  Highlight of the world cup for me.....

*sigh* oh well, at least we're second and that's pretty good

I know and I agree, we were all shocked because it's not like him to act like that. Too much stress i suppose?

Oh yeah, he must be regretting that. He didnt even go to pick his medal, that outta mean something, i'm sure he's ashamed for letting everyone down.

HAHAHAHAHAH! I knowwwwww! We should have been there to massage him, sounds like a great mission for Charlie' Angels

I'm not happy Italy won but I can't begrudge them the win. I haven't seen the game yet, but will be watching the replay tonight.

In one respect, this is kind of a proud day for America as well.  They played the champs as well as the Second best team did.

Now they just have to learn to play the rest of the world like that.

Congrats to Italy!

That was a pretty good sight, wasn't it?

we were all shocked because it's not like him to act like that.

What's sad is that it is actually just like Zidane. He earned a five-match ban after a head butt incident against Hamburg in the 2000-2001 Champions League--and he sat out two matches in the 1998 World Cup for stomping on a Saudi player.

Yeah Maso, I understand what you mean. But you'll see it was an awesome game anyway.

DrGuy, lol, that's a good way to look at it

Shades, yes it's true, what i mean it's that he is not like that in interviews, he's very humble and well spoken, so it really is socking to see him act this way. But he's only human, and we love him dearly, so we all forgive him.

*Curmudgeony old man-ish voice*

Ladies, your mission, should you choose to accept it, (I know, that's mission impossible, but I'll be darned if I can remember what Charlie really said to those ladies) is to track down Henry, give him a good leg massage - I'm sure those manly thighs are killing him - and then come and meet me for drinks afterwards . . .

Sound like a plan?

Congrats France on a cup well-played! I was rooting for them for you, Em . . .
