Damnit im trying to mod my game myself to a star trek like looking but not very successful iam^^. I want my DA version mod!!!.....please  

I even tried to downgrade my game to DL but no way ...   

However good to see u guys are still working on this mod. im checking this forum everyday and feel like at christmas when ure spying the tree if the presents are already placed^^.

Question: Is it absolutely unplayable with 1.5 or are there only some bugs to watch out ? I mean can i maybe play it with the galciv II DL 1.5 but not with DA 1.5 or what is the problem?

btw what can we do for you people to honor your great work?

I'm downloaded the mod and It worked on 1.5 DA

I just tested it and yes it works but very buggy... maybe its cause of some files were not extractable... will download again till it works next days. but what i can say so far is that i love this mod it just need to work as intendend and im happy^^.

bugs cause of missing/corrupted files(download error maybe) :
- ship textures disapear after combining
- blank tech tree parts
- blank ship components(all)
- sometimes the game crash
- no new ships after research - ships need to be constructed even transporters and freighters...

what i would love to see are even starbases which fit to star trek cause the galciv design of them is boring and looks cheap.
also the behaviour of (f.e. species 8472) is not authentic. they cant trade and would never communicate or even form alliance with other races.
but these are maybe issues for the future - the mod is very star trek near and when it works completly its fine for me. i dont think anyone could do it better than u guys did... thanks alot.

Picard55 - which version did you download to have it work with DA?

Newest version. I cant download the mod for my other comp. It just stops in the middle

So this mod works with DA 1.5X???(newest update)Want to make sure before I download over a gig and erase all my ships/races.

The latest version did not work for me with DA. The ship sets didn't match each race properly in the setup screen, and at the screen where you choose your opponents, only some of the default DA races were listed (not the trek races).

I unzipped the latest version zip and then copied the folder into the DA Mods folder. Perhaps I did something wrong? It was a great mod and I hope they get it working with DA. At the very least, I'd like to use the Trek style ships as a ship pack(s).

Its a conversion so you replace every respected file in GC2 DA with the SAME file from the mod file. Thats how i got mine to work on DA course I'm a programmer so I can get stuff to work. Anyone having trouble Dling the mod lately on my other comp its been a pain in the ass.
(Edit) I just looked at my files and I had changed them to work on DA instead of DL.

We have the mod working in DA now fully, with Trek style weapons and all, ships match, we'll release soon.

Can you release it in compressed format too?

We are going to release it in the following formats:

WinZip Whole
WinRar Whole
WinZip - Split up into pieces
WinRar - Split up into pieces

If you have a program that will really compress it well and extract easily that would be nice.

How big are the pieces?

I have 7 zip, WinZip, and WinRar.

Well we've used Winzip, Winrar all in the past, and neither of them do a good job of getting the files down, course it could be an error on our part.

7 zip compresses pretty good try it. It will let you choose compression level too. I could send it to you. No error on your part. WinZip, WinRar just compress an ok amount then dont compress anymore.

I need some help I am on dialup and downloading that large of a file is a problem . Is there a way to download some hull designs without downloading the whole mod. Say a few klingon ships. I would even be willing to pay to get a cd shipped to me rather than trying to download that large of a file. I am on dialup and it is a pain . Thanks for any help or suggestions

I downloaded it corrupt ran it through V-Com zipfix and somehow got the game to work with minor issues.

My message is mostly for a thank yoiu to the developers, Galciv is an excellent game and now you've made it even better, fantastic job its a trekkies dream come true.

(However I am a B5 nut)

DA VERSION RELEASED INTO 7 MULTI FILE DOWNLOAD.

So if we didn't have the DL version, will the DA version be useable on both DA and DL, or will it only work with DA?
