What is a "token"??

Ok so i am new to useing this stardock central download thing. I see something that I want but it says "cost 1 token". What are they and how do I get some?

Tokens are used to buy games and some gadgets (Natural Desktop).

If you are not buying games . . .you don't need any.

If you want games, it's a better deal with tokens.
