issues still unresolved at this time, care to add to this list?

ships with remaining moves often do not move until after you press the turn button

Some planets ( uncolonized ) will not allow you to view, move to them, or colonize.

colony ships arriving at their destination will offer the colonize choice, but it just blinks then goes away. you have to search for the planet that is up for colonization, move the ship out of the system, then back in before you can colonize.

research complete screen still overrides the colonize screen. again you must hunt for the system in question.

Positive notes:

while the game still crashes randomly, it is much more stable than it used to be.

The first one is a feature of the auto turn ships waiting until the turn button is pressed to make moves after their first initial move.

Brad says that he knows how to fix the second bug, but I don't know if he's had the time to do it yet.

The third should be fixed in the last alpha build, except maybe for when 2 ships arrive at their star destinations at the same time.

As for the fourth, I guess that I'm going to have to find out if the ship is still selected after it gets ejected from the star...

Does this mean that all of the other issues/problems we have reported have been solved and will be fixed in
the final alpha build?

Cheers,

the ships are not being ejected from the system. they are staying in system. the first ship in this state will cause the star to look like it is selected. not sure about a second ship doing this at the same time. I will try to make that happen and tell you what I find.

Jack: I think that we've managed to get the major problems fixed. In the last build, there are a bunch of fixes plus the planet list and the event list supporting word wrap.

Jlegere: I made it so that it centers on the selected ship after the research news screen pops up.

Hopefully next week we'll have that final alpha ready. We want to give you guys something that is playable for awhile. Been playing the OS/2 version some here to remember what it was we liked. ;)

The new AI is much tougher.

Did GalCiv show up on anyone's "start" shortcut? It didn't on mine. I had a suspicion that
it was intended to be that way for the alpha tests, but I got to thinking about it and
decided I had best ask about it.

Cheers,
Jack
