This is just to flame all you nerd #@*$'s who thought I was whining to hard about tactical battles lacking in GC2. Well i guess the sqeaky wheel gets the grease cuz guess whats comin' to town! YEEHAW, Tactical battles! NICE! Then the GC series will be the heir apparent to the MoO Series. And since the good lads at Stardock take pride in REAL AI, it gonna be SMOKIN! No more movie battles with zero input, me n' my battleships tactically smokin (or gettin smoked) AI oppo's. SWEET!

And to all those who did'nt like my "whiny" rant before well you can go and blow it out yer bunghole. Dont like my rants, dont read em! And FYI, I never gave a crap anyway, your opinion of my request for TAC Battle to the good folks at Stardock was not up for debate. Just between me n' Stardock.

And to all those who take offense to this post, GOOD! Let me know how you think and just between you n' me, the next time I read in this forum will be when GC3 comes out with my TAC Battles! Sorry, can't hear you.......hahahaha!

Based on the thousands of players who responded, tactical battles are something people want. This is something we would definitely look at seriously in a sequel (not an expansion).



Note it said "in a sequel". Rant and foam on dude...

I'd assume that all depends on if Brad can get the AI to do a good enough job to be challenging in a Tactical battle, and keep it for being just some easy way for a player to win every battle he's ever in.

I'd also assume if Brad decided to do Tactical battles, he'd include either or both a set-up option that you could check if you didn't want tactical battles, and/or an auto-resolve button you could push that would quickly resolve any tactical battle for you, in a way that doesn't always give you a clean sweep, always give you a loss, or always let you just barely squeek by with a win and leave you with just one or two badly damaged ships left.

The fact that you wrote that in your title pretty well qualifies you as a nerd. No need to throw stones if you are a glass house.

On a side note, tactical battles might be cool in the sequel. I have gotten bored of this game and haven't played it for a while, but I will probably come back and play again eventually.

Why bother with sequel then if you want MOO2?- GC3 will surely have in-built tactical battles from start on- it was planned for GC2 to begin with but there wasn't enough time/budget to implement it- if that oaf'd care to read what the GC2 people write he would have spared himself the trouble to openly display his mental misery...

Just because there going to implement it (i havent seen 1 piece of evidence supporting this) doesnt make you right. You still were probably whinning and complaing to much, i base this on reading this thread.

He said no such thing. What he did say is that per the poll result, they'd look into it a more than before as a possibility. No guarantees.

I hate to defend ppl like him but just so you guys who are sayin "It's coming in a sequal not an expansion pack idiot" he did say he was waiting for GC3. Guess ppl who dont give stupid rants should really learn to read the whole post before they flame someone who does...and yes Brad said it was a possibility because of the poll results, not certain.

I'm well up for Tak in The GC universe, but you need to calm down, ole buddy. BTW you should have posted on game talk as this particular subject is way way 'on topic'.

Oh and don't worry about the opposition, they is just not really happy about being the vocal minority.
