Ok..LoL..I may have made a mistake... The Wizops/mods and Yrag's *Pope* title need to remain!..at all costs...LoL

If yrag get to be Pope, I at least want to be President.

I didn't think I deserved mine, wasn't even expecting it, and was really surprised.

Hows this for negativity- I think the new forum sux - nothing has worked right for ages and Im sick of asking the same question 100 times . God forbid I get an answer to a question because I can't see the answer unless I go open a new browser on AOL to get back here to see if there is a solution to the problem. For over a year this site has been " upgrading " and yet it just gets worse each time a new server gets added The forum used to be a place for interesting topics and people helping others solve a problem. Now all it is is a bitch fest. I've yet to see anyone address the problems going on. With all of the other issues this site has had - was revamping the forum really important?

In case anyone is interested - I just cleared the AOL browser cache before I opened this forum thread. I opened it - then signed in. This one activity used 50% of the AOL maximum cache . Which means whatever you have added to the forum is using way more than it should. I only dump that cache folder once a week ...now I'll have to do it after 2 posts. Something is wrong with this...but im sure this will get the old skip over.

GEEZE!!!! finaly someone say that.., why? becouse that was/is my greatest question since i get into this site.., what in the name of humanity do i have to do to deserve an honorific upgrade??

..and time ago(like a year ago...) someone told me this: "...someone, have to recommend u for an honorific upgrade", sooo i start making new kind of skins, more complex and with a good quality!

...and what do i get? poor ratings and high downloads(..huh?), the highest rating that i get was like 8 points.

so then i start with something new., cursors themes, at the biggining., well.., they weren't so good...(coff*~damn~coff*), but at the end i finaly creat Sparkles', at that point the greatest thing i even did........, what do i get? poor rating and high downlods + good comments(again.., huh?)

so i end up deleting all my work and run with it to devart !

Tycus...When I started making docks for skins I never thought about the honorific thing...I started making docks just to see if I could...and as timwe went on I got better and better at it...but I was still doing it to see if I could. Each new dock was a challenge...like..let see how many docks I can get out of the skin and make the them compliment the skin...it was never about the honorific...In fact I don't even use it. Now don't get me wrong...I was honored to get the title...and it was completely unexpected...but I still make the docks for me...to see if I can make something nice to share with everyone...some do good and some don't...but I don't let it bother me...I'm doing it for fun. And even if I didn't get the title...I'd still be doing it.

Sooooo......does this mean the 'completely' honorific is totally out of the question, as in strike it from my wish list and hope for something else?

I used AOL for years Fairyy...the program itself is a memory pig, the software is bloated with all sorts of "stuff" you dont want or need, and they shove more of it into your computer "forcibly" at times when they update...

I realize that Broadband service is still not available to everyone, or still may be a bit "pricey" in some area's... but...in most cases DSL is cheaper than AOL these days..as low as $12.99 a month, for 12 months blah, blah, blah..LoL..

May want to look into other ISP options...

I won't argue the fact that AOL sux - cos it does. but they're browser is nothing more than explorer. I can open explorer to get back here but it takes twice as long as Firefox. I want someone to answer my question that I've asked over and over again...Why can I only view any forum just once with Mozilla Firefox ..I have been using mozilla for ages with no problem..this site is hard enough to manuver withouthaving to be forced to use explorer. Certainly there must be a reason or a fix...if I can get here once...why cant I read the same thread again? All I get is a blank page. This has gone on since they changed forum. All I wanted was for someone to at least confirm or acknowledge the problem.

Im well aware of this - i've watched aol eat up all the resources an really don't care about aol anymore to be honest. At one time they offered little perks that made a difference - now they are just another big business that cares very little about their customers. I couldnt even get mail from my best friend for 4 weeks cos aol blocked their server for unknown reasons. 4 weeks to fix a problem is rediculous - i had to use yahoo mail that is free.

I just tried it in Firefox...and you are right...the forums aren't working correctly using it.

Opera works, however. [as does IE]...

I'm only guessing but it may be something to do with site works stopping [or trying to stop] the spam/resurrection threads....

I'm sure it will be resolved.  In the meantime.....Opera is an entirely capable browser....I used it way back when....almost exclusively...for years...

Hmmm, just tried FF and got the same. Working fine in IE7 though, and that is much better than FF

i've been posting and reading with FF 1.5.0.4 with no real problems....the only thing that's not working for me is that when re-visitng a forum post, it takes me to the top of the page, rather than to the last post i'd read....also the little images with Fourm Home/ General etc etc don't always display correctly...but both these things were pointed out in earlier threads when the
Stardock developers were asking for feedback about the new forum....so maybe (?) they are working on them

Same here... FF 1.5.0.4 works fine for me as far as opening and viewing threads here..
Issues = no quote ability, not even the brackets anymore, LoL..have to type them in manually...and like LG pointed out, FF opens at the begining of the thread...

Really just very minor irritations, nothing like what Fairyy is experiencing...

Thanks to all that replied - at least I know that some are having the same problem - some are not. I just realised that I'm able to return to a thread that i've already read using Firefox - as long as I'm not logged in to WC . If I log in using FF..thats when the problems start. So I can read but to reply I have to open explorer.

bizarre, because quotes are working fine for me, even allowing me to use the quote function correctly in firefox, i.e. just highlight the text, press the quote button and it appears 'quoted' in the 'Add You Comment' area..

Im so jealous, LOL... I havent had the ability to "quote" with FF in probably close to a year..but the backets have always appeared, all I have had to do is use copy/paste in the past....ah well...guess im being negative now, I better get back to the "glass being half full again" LOL


Fairyy, just a thought..Do you have your FF preferences set to clear browser cache & cookies upon closing it?... if not it may be something you could try to see if it helps..
You can even specify what cookies to clear if you dont want to just clear them all each time...
