I saw some forum threads indicating that you were going to release new patches with new potential candidates for the next election... Are you still planning on doing that? Are you continuing to develop content for this game? I have to say it is a truly awesome game, and I hope you continue on with it! Would love to hear what your plans are...

AFAIK, Political Machine 2008 is planned. I don't know if it'll work as an expansion, new data in the same engine, or an entirely new game, though, you'd have to get a stardockian to tell you that.
