Skinning Chritmas, Day 1, Part 1

      This morning I came in early to start on my Christmas theme, and low and behold, there is no power at the office. Luckily I had not stated the theme yet, so I jumped in my car and headed home. After a this hour or so of delay I am back on it.

      I spent some time this morning just coming up with Christmas elements that I can work in to the suite. This allows me to come up with a color palette, as well as helps me establish a theme. Not to obvious in the screenshot below, but It is stating to come together in my head. I am thinking the main colors will be white, with accents of all the traditional Christmas colors. I want to have allot of Christmas feeling to it, however I want it to stay useful. Can I do this? We shall see.

      Here is what I came up with this morning, I am going to run and get some lunch, and get moving on the actual skins.

I like the candy cane and the bell. I also like the balls. Not to keen on the lights... LOL

I REALLY like the bell and the coloring. The ornament balls are a great look.

don't know how this will translate into a windowblinds though. I like the candy cane but a candy cane border might be a cool subskin but not the main one.

Possible OD background for the candycane, and icons for the ornaments, missle toe would make a great start button.

I like it so far - the lights are not as finished as the rest. Hope to see a snowman or woman and an angel although I guess you are trying to celebrate holiday and not Christmas. how about candles and stars and gift packages...

Do you just do this for fun or do you market it? GCJ
