me look horrible :(

I look terrible. I do.

I have these horrible bags under my eyes, yuck. I heard cucumber slices work wonders, but I have to try yet, maybe this weekend.

My skin looks yuck too. I dont know why, normally my skin is flawless (okay i'm probably flattering myself here, but it's usually not that bad!), but lately i got pimples and they've left tiny brown scars on my cheeks. I did say I looked awful, didnt I?

If you have any grandma's recipes for me to try on my skin, or if you have advises on great cosmetics, be my guest! I need your help JU.

I'm a dark complexion by the way, for those of you who may not know. Thanks in advance :)

I'm sure there are tons of products out there that can make you feeling & looking your very best again.

But mainly I wanted to comment that YOUTH is beautiful in itself. I look back at pictures of myself from when I was around your age; I thought I was average, plain. But there is something about youth that just makes a person glow no matter how bad they think their complexion is, etc.

And somehow from what I've read of you, you seem to be a very beautiful young lady so I can see how some bags or scars might freak you out. Sorry I don't have more specific advice...make-up & I don't get along very well...but I just wanted to mention how beautiful your youth is.

I use Neutrogenea Blackhead eliminating daily scrub and it has made a huge difference for me. I am not breaking out anymore since I began washing with this twice a day. It contains 2% salicylic acid which I understand helps your skin to shed the old cells. It works for me. Oh and drink lots and lots of water. That does wonders for your skin. Hopefully you will be back to looking your flawless self again soon.

Teabags, damp (not soaking wet) ones. Place on the eyes (while closed lol), lean back, quit worrying...

Cucumbers are also very soothing and refreshing (but won't do much for the bags) so use both.

I also kept my promise and wrote the conversion thing...

Hey, Angela, thanks for your comforting comment I'm having bad days and I worry too much I think. But your comment made me feel better, thank you!!

Neutrogenea Blachhead? I will have to try that. I used to use 10-O-Six, but they dont sell it here, so I'm just using some Nivea daily scrub but it doesnt do anything. Well my skin does feel nice right after but after a couple of hours it is back to its bad self I will try this one, thanks Locamama. And I have started drinking lots of water too!!

Teebags and cucumbers ok Emp And I'm gonna read this link now!! thanks

Like Shovelheat, I can't IMAGINE you looking bad!

One thing I really like is the St. Ives Apricot Scrub. It smells wonderful and keeps skin clean and soft and healthy feeling.

Anyway, just remember...even when you look "horrible" you STILL look 50x better than most of the rest of us!

I agree with Shovel and Tex - you're a spunk, girl, and even better, you're a spunk who doesn't know it. The best and most beautiful people I know are down-to-earth, natural and don't use their beauty as a weapon.

These people all speak the truth, my dear, you're gorgeous! Hands down, one of the prettiest girls I've met through cyberspace. (You and Amanda being my two best examples . . .)

I've never been a zitty person, but a lot of these people sound as if they know what they're talking about. I'd take all their advice.

Well, I dont Specialize in it, but I have a fair amount of experience and I concur with Shovelheat completely!

You're gorgeous, even when you're tired I'm sure. But I know what you mean. Mark it down to being stressed, which doesn't do a body good!

So my remedies (and I have a few I use), when you're broke or budget watching (join the club!)

I agree with the Emperor with the tea bags and the cucumber, they really work! Also as a scrub, use corn meal (you know what that is right?) If you don't I'm trying to think of another name.....it's universal to most people I believe...but you can also use oatmeal...anyway, put some cornmeal in a cup or bowl, squeeze a bit of lime (not lemon) juice in it, mix it together, then put a paste on your face. Leave on for a few mins and then use your hands to rub the mixture all over your face in a circular motion. This is a nice easy exfoliating thingy...as for the oatmeal, put some honey in it, mix toghether to make a paste and then put on your face...let it dry, then wash off. You'll be surprise how smooth your skin will look!

For a quick fix when it comes to your hair, just rinse with beer after your shampoo and condition, then rinse again cause you don't wanna smell like beer!! It gives your locks a nice sheen!

Also, you can make a past with mayonaise and egg yolk and put in your hair. Wrap with a warm towel or just put a plastic cap (or bag) over your head to keep it warm for about 20 mins. Then shampoo and condition as usual.

Sometimes rubbing ice cubes all over your face, especially those bags under your eyes works wonders! And wakes you up in a hurry!!

If you're going to buy products, Oil of Olay is pretty good but expensive. So you can also use Nadinola or Pond's or anything that won't dry out your skin when you use it. And remember, whatever you use on your face, put some on your neck as well!

Hope that helps somewhat!

*clapping my hands in excitement*
Oh goody! These sound like fun, I'm gonna try the honey one with my mama! Haha! Sounds like we're gonna do a mess but it should be FUN!!! The beer one for the hair, i'm not too sure about it, heh, but i'll definetely try the mayonnaise + egg yolk, I did hear that egg yolk is great for hair!
*gasp* Ice cube, haha! Just thinking about it makes the hair on my arm stand, lol! Ok, i'll be brave

Thank you so much for these recipes, it's true that budgetwise i'm a bit tight, so this is just what I need!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you

That sucks, welcome to my world. I hate the little brown scars, it like "isn't it bad enough I got pimples in the first place?"
Unlike you I've had bad skin since puberty, has gotten a hell of a lot better lately, but it still bugs me. I'm seriously thinking about getting some medical advice on the matter and get some Weapons of Mass Acne Destruction (WoMAD).

You know I haven't actually seen any pictures of you...you sound totally hot though!

Actually I've now search for some pics of you and you actually ARE hot. Waddayouknow there's a turn up for the books, the internet and reality have collided!
I really should have added you to my links ages ago. Why am I so slow.

Hey IG (Emilia), you are as beautiful as they come!  I have seen the pictures.  I am 50.  What do I do about them?  Now?  I ignore them!  Like I am fishing for some hot babes like you?  I dont think so!

Seriously, my Dermatologist says leave them alone at my age.  Pick them and guck!  Put any of that kid stuff on them, and nothing.  Ignore them. and they do go away.  I do not have an ice pick face, back or skin.  Just Mt. Vesuvius every now and then (and I will match Toblerone Scar for Scar! )
