Rove off the hook in leak case

Now what will Joe Wilson and the rest of the liberals that were oh so certain that Karl Rove was going to be perp walked and lynched over the Valerie Plame leak case do?

It seems that either Karl Rove got away with it (not bloody likely) or there just wasn't a case there to begin with (more likely). The lack of a prosecution is not because the prosecutor was "on the take" or was friendly to the President or any such thing. It's because there is no case. If there had been a case the special prosecutor would have pursued it and Rove would be facing the music.

Just confirming, apparently it's official and Fitzgerald has announced that there won't be charges against Rove.

That sound you now hear is that of at least 1,000 liberal media types, and many more liberal bloggers chomping on their words predicting that Rove was going to jail.

I'm sure they all wish and believe he'll still wind up there, but it won't happen this time.
