modifying custom race static abilities or developers please fix this

can I change the static abilities and still play metaverse games?

I noticed that A custom race has a permanent +25 soldiering and some other ability bonuses that cant be changed in game . i was wondering if I went into raceconfig and changed those values if I could still play a metaverse game?or would this flag me as A cheater? If it would flag me as a cheater could the developers of the game please fix these bonuses so that they could be changed along with all the other pickable abilities for a custom race as i do not always want to have +25 soldiering on my custom race.

It costs nothing. There is no reason not to have it, same as the drath have that lovely defence bonus. I'm fairly sure there's a why to wipe it, but there is absolutely no reason to do so. Seriously.

the whole point is it is a custom race , and i should be able to choose every aspect of my abilities not have some already chosen for me from the start . maybe i would rather have an espionage bonus or something else.
i know soldiering is a bonus to have , but I should be the one to choose that when I play a custom race. not the developer already assigning some aspects to me.

I'm with Pmutzu on this one. You should be able to design the custom race to exactly what you want. Since all custom races have the same two default abilities, it is really like having an eleventh official race, just without specfic graphics.

If you guys don't *want* that bonus, pick a lower soldiering bonus, then remove the lower soldiering bonus.

The current +25 however does not cost you anything, so there really is no reason to remove it.

Ok, every race has some built in bonuses like this. The point is the costom race should be able to wipe + soldering and get extra points to spend on other costomazation. The costom race should get like 12 points instead of the usual 10 and have no built in bonuses.
