I dont understand the way these forums work.. sometimes after 30 minutes a post shows up in the resent posts list on the left, sometimes they dont, sometimes a forums topic is updated to latest posts, sometimes there not, are certine threads given priority over others? Are all posts screened before they appear (accounting for the long delay in there appearance)

Im just curious so I know how it works here.
It can take a hour for a post to appear here.. why? Ive never seen forums that function like these do.. Im not trying to be a smartass, Im just curious on the way things work here as I can make no sense of it.

A lot of it is cached, so the thread list, etc. doesn't update immediately all the time, but only once the cache has refreshed. As to the recent posts list, it simply doesn't seem to include unreplied threads, so many people have taken to immeidately bumping their threads after they post them to get them onto the list.

yeah if ya want to see all posts go to the forums. recent post list is usually made up of people who like to hear themselves talk so they bump their own post needlessly.

This forum is NOT "state of the art" ....
SO ...
Try it like this:
Create or Reply to a post,
THEN:
Check the forum link you posted, then check the Everything forum, and ...
Then re-check each forum and re-check OP, then check the modding forum...
(maybe it was mis-posted) then double check all forums again ... and ...
BUMP the OP to get MAX attention ....
and then go and check all the forums again ...

Then just keep doing this OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and ...

Hey, just kidding ... over and over and over ... HEhehehehehehe

(For the younger generation... "Hooked on Phonics", or fonics, I can't remember which it is, was like an educational game that taught kids to read... Apparently it only worked well on dumb kids... Or so I heard... The slogan at the end of that @#$%!?^& commercial was "Hooked on Phonics worked for me!"
