Keepsafe not backing up certain fiels

File type .3pi

I have a program which saves files with the extension .3pi

I added the .3pi to keepsafe in the File Types configuration tab, and set the custom to NO. However, keepsafe is not backing up files of this type. I tried saving one in the My Documents directory, then waited about 15 minutes (I have Keepsafe set to not back up if the latest revision is less than 10 minutes old). Keepsafe did not back up the file when I saved it again.

I got Keepsafe specifically for this file type, and am very disappointed that it isn't working properly.

Any ideas?

Windows XP SP2, 3.2 Ghz laptop, 1 gig memory, 60 gig hard disk. Network drive is accessed via a wireless network. Keepsafe is set to keep a local backup as well as a network backup.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think KeepSafe has the user base yet to get a lot of attention in the forums. I'll take a look at my build and see if I can recreate.

In the meantime, I'd go to stardock.helpserve.com and create a case. Stardock will get back to you.

Tested. No problems.
All other files backing up as expected?

Post config screenshots or reg key as text? (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\ThinkDesk\KeepSafe\FileSettings and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\ThinkDesk\KeepSafe\FileSettings\3pi)

First, thanks for the responses. Now to answer the questions:

I've attached screenshots of the requested entries in the registry.

Second, I'm going over to stardock.helpserve.com after this to see what they can do.

Third, the program which makes files with .3pi as an extension is called
3rd PlanIt, which is a program used to design model railroads.
