The Spanish Flu alone killed at least 50 million (up to 100 mil possibly, but I doubt that) from 1918-1919 and that was before most mass transit, globe-hopping flights, and overcrowding that would enhance it today...

I think the bubonic plague kills more than that in North America per year alone. And, there's still no cure for the plague, and it could spread like wildfire at any time...and could have over the past 500 years since it last reared it's head.

Just so you know, the spanish flu (the one he was talking about) WAS BIRD FLU.

Make no mistake, if it does become human-human passable, there will be a lot of deaths. No-one is saying "ohmigod look out it's dangerous now" because right now it isn't. But a flu virus could mutate at any time into human-human, and suddenly extremely large numbers of the population were dead.

To compare:
Estimated death toll of ww1 (all countries) 8 million.
The bird flu that erupted a year after: 50 million.

Oh, also. Plague, if caught early enough, is treatable and curable. It's only if allowed to advance that it becomes a hassle. And the conditions it requires for mass spreading no longer exist in western countries. The only threat is if it is used in mass germ warfare, and there are too many cases to treat, which is fairly unlikely.

All flues usually originate from birds, a flus are always from animals. Human related Flu infections are the result of a viral mutation.

Back on topic: I'm sorry if this seems cruel, but i would relate illegal immigrants to a type of drug to which we have a physical dependency. If we were to just get rid of them in a flash the nation would cease to function. The whole thing is between the racists and the corporitists.

Well....if you were born here, you are no immigrant. We are DESCENDED from immigrants, unless you're an immigrant, or descended from Native Americans. I consider myself born here, I am no immigrant. Also, were you in the U.S Army during the Nez Pierce and Trail of Tear crap? Were you even alive? I feel no guilt over things i can't control, i have empathy. In closing, we need border security but we also need to lower the requirements for being a legal immigrant and initiate a citizenship program among the illegal aliens. It's good for our country and keeps the paris hilton section of our population to a minimum.

Anyone that Supports the Lower class instead of everyone being equal in USA Needs a to Reread the US constitution. Not only do illegal imigrants cost taxpayers Billions of dollars, these poor people work for dirt cheap and have to live off the system. Best thing to do is Reform Legal Imigration, And bring criminal Charges against these companies that take in Illegal Imigrants to work for nothing.
