I Want A Program, Does It Exist?

(shrug)

I've decided to take the lazy, yet tactful approach to finding what I want. Since there are so many computer savvy people on JU, I thought that I would ask you. I'm looking for some way, to make a "Surround Picture." I want to make one of those photos that you can show a 360 degree view. A up or down feature isn't necessary but would be nice. I remember taking "Virtual Tours" of some hotels. Can I use Macromedia to make this? Or at least a Flash oriented tour with pop-ups? I'm also willing to settle for creating .GIFs that could pan a room.

Any help is welcome.

are you using a digital camera with a panorama option (in which case youre looking for a player that utilizes those kinda pix)? or you want to combine several standard images to form a panoramic pic?

after rereading your post, im gonna guess you want to combine several standard images.

if so, theres an open source (free) java-based app called panorama tools. heres a link that will take you to ptassembler--a helper app created by another person to 'stitch' images together while using panorama tools. pta assembler page there are some examples of his technique and a link to panorama tools with a windows installer.
ptassmbler is shareware so you can try it for free for 30 days. this page also has a sample project to practice with.

hope this helps
