Mithis Entertainment Pissed Off

Developer Backed By Civil Suit

Mithis Entertainment, the Hungarian based developer of Eidos' Battlestations: Midway and Vivendi Games's Joint Task Force, has filed an official complaint with the Budapest Police regarding suspected criminal activity within their offices.

The alleged offenses are quite severe including illegal removal of hardware and software connected to the titles mentioned above and others, copying, sabotage and deletion of game files, deceitfully obtaining equipment and the infringement of IP rights.

The investigators are now looking into the relationship between ex-Mithis employees and the publishing houses, SCi Games and HD Publishing, of the attached games. Investigators are looking to see if any of the former employees may have received compensation from the publishers and if so were the transactions concealed in any way.

MGE Software and Investment Ltd are adamant that they are in control of the intellectual property for both titles and have seen a civil lawsuit against SCi Games Ltd, SCi Entertainment Group, Eidos Interactive Ltd, Eidos Games Ltd, HD Interactive B.V and HD Publishing B.V filed.
